talking to a friend who has stables the first sign is very high
fever ??aconite, ?belladonna. She does not know about
thirst ,restlessness ,prostration etc. Then there is a barking
cough, then a running nose which evolves into yellow smelly
discharge [maybe baptistia ] and then muscle aches and stiffness.
It takes about 3 weeks to recover
I may be able to talk to a sympathetic vet tomorrow. One would
perhaps advise dosing all endangered horses with Influenzium and
bacillinum maybe oscillinococcinum . I do not know details of
this equine virus.
Maybe if stuff was made available on the net through groups some good
could be done.
Have googled equine flu but have not found what I want. Just
interesting and help if accepted might be valuable, Jean

Re: Horse flu.
a number of remedies given appropriately for symptoms would effectively
treat horses such as Gelsemium, kali bich, ars alb,nat mur, lycopodium, hep
sulph etc too exhaustive a list, need the main symptoms and demeanor of the
animal to give, rescue remedy off course would be beneficial
