HSP update - tentative improvement!

Thank you all so much for the wonderful advice and detailed
information. I have a small update which I hesitate to give lest I
jinx it but we are optimistic.

Delainey's stomach and back pain worsened considerably this noon to
the point we were ready to take her back to the ER (fearing
intussusception and/or meningitis had set in - both complications of
HSP). I decided to go ahead with the Naphthalinum (mothball remedy).
I made a 12c and gave one tsp in 1 dilution glass. She had a slight
agg of stomach pain and then the pain gradually improved slightly. I
waited another hour and gave another dose direct from the remedy
solution bottle after 4 succussions. Within 1/2 an hour, she had a
white powder come out on her lips and the palms of her hands, and
white liquid diarrhea. She sat up and ate a popsicle.

Two hours later, her pain was returning. I then brought the remedy
up to a 24c and gave another dose with 1 dilution glass. Very slight
improvement. One hour later, I succussed 8 times and gave 1 dose
direct from the remedy solution bottle. She had no aggravation and
within a half hour was up standing and walking! She took a long
tubby and rested for an hour. As of an hour ago, the purpura has
healed *dramatically* - some parts are completely clear as if
nothing was ever there. Her backside which was significantly covered
in dark red splotches and bruises yellowed over and is almost
completely clear of purpura! I took pictures to gauge improvements
which I will post to my blog and cite in the near future once things
are under control.

We are cautiously optimistic as HS-Purpura comes and goes by nature.
But right now she is significantly improved pain wise and using her
extremities gently!

I am still looking at remedies for when the crisis mode is done and
right now I am carefully weighing Pulsatilla and Silicea given all
the symptoms. Pulsatilla is leading given a few keynotes and her
chronic picture although Silicea has the purpura while Pulsatilla
doesn't but a larger portion does fit Puls and now that I have
really studied it hard, she does seem to fit quite well. It also has
the generalities, after measles. There's too much to write right now.

Lastly, a few have written to me expressing concern about the number
of remedies I have given in the past week. While I certainly
understand this concern and normally practice judicious dosing,
under these circumstances, I feel quite comfortable with what I have
given. I practice 5th & 6th edition so I always dose in water,
usually with a dilution glass. This means the dose is split up and
the remedy is used much faster than dry pellets would be. Even under
more normal circumstances, a small dose in a dilution glass could be
repeated within 24 hours. In this dramatic of an acute, water dosing
can be repeated much more frequently than dry dose wait and watch
(another beauty of aqueous solutions). While her generalities and
what was chief complaint shifted quite rapidly, no new *different*
symptoms appeared after the onset of the HSP. The varying pains and
intensity of complaints in different places are *expected* symptoms
of HSP. I did not change the remedy unless no effect occurred after
2-3 water doses within a 12-24 hour period. I hope that helps in
understanding why I dosed as I did.

Anyway, I will update on progress. Again, I can't thank you all
enough for all the help and support.
