Reusing botles

Post by Gaby Rottler »

Dear all,

I do reuse my brown bottles.

- put them into the dishwasher first
- let them dry
- place them into the oven (I use muffin forms to place them
into....they don't touch each other and stand well, and are easy to put
in and out)
- heat oven about 130-140° C for about 30 min.
- let them cool off inside.

Of course the plastic caps need to be thrown away before doing that! ;-)

You can fill the bottles with water to be sure (I did in the beginning,
but at least with the German bottles it works as well without water in
the bottles - never had any broken bottles till now).

(this is much more convenient than putting a bunch of bottles into a pot
with water, boiling it for 20 min).

Best,

Gaby

Thanks for that. I have loads of plastic tops so that's no problem. I
didn't even think of filling them with water!!!!
