Chronic winter allergy

Post by Rochelle »

I have a patient who has done very well for everything she has come to me for with Carc except for one think it hasn't touched so I am trying to find a remedy that fits and am asking for your suggestions please.
From the case history I took in Feb07:-
"Every year for the last 5 years I have had a heads cold from October to March. It always follows having a flu. It is now every day and morning and evenings are the worst. Sometimes I am sneezing all day and my ears and throat can be sore. It is persistent sneezing, runny nose which is clear and watery with a general feeling of a heavy cloud. I am tired, running on a low battery and I have to close my eyes from exhaustion. I tend to lie down at 2-3pm."
Since the remedy Carc the exhaustion and having to lie down at 2-3pm has gone. Just to say I changed rx to Ignatia in March, she went backwards with all her other complaints except one (tinnitus) which appears cured so I repeated the Carc again and she came right back up and her other complaints, headaches, sore tongue, sleeplessness, fatigue have gone away again, but this one complaint is still present and what's more , it is June and it still hasn't gone away although has improved as the months have gone on!!
Today when we went through the problem again she spoke of Sneezing, open air. Woke today with a dry mouth which she thinks is from mouth breathing all night.
Any suggestions, ideas of Rx to study etc much appreciated.

Hi Rochelle,
Is there any change if she travels during that time--does it seem to be
allergy to something in her environment? (Mold?)

Good question - but I think she would have noticed this and told me. However I will phone and ask her!! We also wondered about a mould.

Hi, Rochelle.
The fact that she's worse at night and worse from the cold first makes me wonder about Ars. You might well also need a cancer miasm remedy -- another possibility, with the thick then thin nasal discharges is Staph. These are only possibilities to consider, of course, in the light of the rest of the case.

Actually Staph could fit the case quite nicely . I will see how she goes with what I have given her.
Thanks
