The simile principle, was: POLL Hahnemann, Homeopathy and Organon

Post by Luise Kunkle »

Hi Irene,
I have never been interested in this aspect, but:

To-day I happened to be browsing in the library of the Institute of
the Historyy of Medicine at the University of Düsseldorf, just finding
out what they got there and found a book: original Latin and its
German translation, called:

De Curatione per Similia (About the Cure by Simile)

written 1734, by a German Professor Alberti.

I haven't read it yet - and, as I am not particularly interested in
the matter, I probably will just give it a perfuctionary perusal.

But reading your post just after finding it...:-)

Regards

Luise

Ahh - another reference, thanks for mentioning it. I believe the German
physician Stahl was another who recognized this principle.
I'd be interested in what Alberti says/did if you get further with the
"perfunctory perusal of the paperwork" and feel like sharing?
:-)

[Mainly I'd like to know if he observed the phenomenon personally or
writes about others who did (if so whom?) - just in case you spot that!]

I find it interesting because it's something WE can also observe, and
which is behind all of homeopathy - often independently observed over
time - so it makes sense as a current day starting point to explain
homeopathy to disbelievers.

NAmaste,
Irene
