Telangiectasias

Post by harridan37 »

Has anyone in the group attempted a Scleroderma patient and the
effects of telangiectasias?? [The tiny capillaries of the face, lips,
mouth, or fingers widen (dilate) forming tiny, red blanching spots.]

Dear Karen,

Would this be of any help?

Tertiary lesions

The spider spot, another specific sycotic lesion, is generally found upon the upper portion of the face, usually about half an inch below the lower eyelids or over the center of the maler bone; it consists of a little sprangle of dilated capillaries, resembling somewhat the meshes of a spider web. It is a little flag of distress, which the organism hangs out to tell that the enemy is within. It speaks volumes to those who understand it as a landmark.

Sarvadaman ;

Thank you very much. It is quite a difficult case and the patient
was diagnosed with Scleroderma in 1998 and was given 6 weeks to
live. The disease was diffuse and systemic.

Four years ago the patient contraced the chicken pox - because of
this all allopathic treatment was ceased -[auto-immune suppressants,
blood thinners, steroids, and chemotherapy]. The chicken pox in
effect knocked the immune system back into its own rhythm - but then
the blanching began to appear on the face - replacing what was a
greenish to brown tanning and thickening that had taken place over
the previous years.

The 'flushing' comes and goes - but the red spots are numerous and
appear to be nearly measle like - although they are flat - non
weeping - and blanch when pressed. They look like red freckles
ranging in size from a pin dot to nearly pea sized.

I have tried Sepia, Lachesis, and have been focusing on the snake
venoms due to their reaction on the blood and venious systems - but
to utterly no avail.

The patient is well demeanored; extremely intelligent and quite a
willing patient. Scleroderma has no known cause nor cure - and is
normally associated with a horrific physical or emotional trauma.
The patient suffered much emotional stress - and then the trauma of
loosing a child; then the marriage disolved; then the patient was
thrust into finacial ruin. All of this happening over the course of
7 weeks in 1997-1998. [her allopathic diagnosis was given in January
of 1998 at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Toronto by the world's leading
specialist on the disorder. She was told to 'go home and make her
final arrangements'. She refused to. The girl is a 'fighter'...no
doubt.. or she would have succumbed to this disorder a decade ago.

The entire body was ravaged and the patient suffered atrophy over
98% of the body. There was also a thickening of the pericardium
which required surgery - a pericardial window was placed in to
alleviate the water/fluid that had been trapped around the heart.
There was a liter and a half of water encased - this being in 2001.

Since March of 2003 - [the chicken pox] the patient has been devoid
of any allopathic medications and has been treated strictly
homeopathically since.

The patients main concern is the cosmetic effects of this disorder -
the red spots that litter the face, neck, backs of hands and
forearms. There are one or two on each leg - the stomach, torso,
and buttox are free and clear. The back has some near the cradle of
the shoulders that follow around to the upper chest area - seemingly
to stop right below the collar bone.

Patient is female - 40 years old and has no other complaints and
reports feeling in good general health both physically and
mentally. She has recovered nicely from the effects of the disease
that for three years was considered morbid.

The only allopathic TX available to remove these 'spots' is lazer
therapy - which is only effective for a brief period of time and
will need to be re-done as the 'spots' reappear.

I am utterly convinced there is something homeopathic that can
return the venious system to normal - and reduce the amount of
dilation within the capillaries and veins.

Patient also has one huge nasty vericose vein on the left leg just
below the knee joint on the left side of the calf muscle. [right
about where the right knee would press into the leg if sitting cross
legged which the patient indicated she does often.

Menses is regular and non exciting. Patient is leading a good life
and is quite content with all of it - except the cosmetic effects of
the skin. She is an extrodinarily striking woman [beautiful] but she
does not see herself as that - she is not vain by any stretch of the
means but it is clear that these spots cause her some distress. It
is not so much her reaction to them being there - rather he general
public who have the reaction - and she fells compelled to explain
her condition to alleviate the 'gawking and staring' she feels goes
on. I have witnessed it myself - it does look like she has the
measles or chicken pox or something until you get closer - then they
appear to be like giant flaming red freckles.

I thank you again for your input; and I shall be reading up on these
remedies today. I will report back with hopefully another note on
how we cured this poor gal!! She is such a beauty! inside and out..
it would be personally thrilling to complete this journey with her
and return her to a flawless and heatlhy state.

Karen, are you saying that the scleroderma and heart sx are in a state of recovery with homeopathy, if so that is wonderful to read about and I hope you continue to update us on this case.

I just wanted to drop a few rx and ideas into your lap so to speak.

Had you made a rx connection with the chicken pox and the present state? I was thinking here about Rhus tox that has an affinity to scleroderma and petechiae like eruptions under the skin and has listed rheumatic pericarditis.

Thyroidinum is a big rx for scleroderma, hypertrophy, large veins that can varicose and lupus type eruptions, i.e. the 'red freckles' as you call them

One rx that does also shout out with the theme of scleroderma, connective tissue, purpura haemorrhagica, oedema (heart in this case), syphilitic rx, atrophied states - all this would be kali iod.

Maybe useful, Joy

Joy;
Extrodinarily useful! and I thank you too.
Scleroderma is such a diffucult and ugly disease. I have learned
much and I believe that the patient literally 'turns to stone' from
the inside out! In my patient's case she said repeatedly..
"I wanted to feel nothing."
"My heart had turned to stone."
"I felt like a stone."

Her legs, arms, back, chest - all of the major muscle groups when
she was fully engaged were described as feeling 'like stone'.

My mistake? I focused on that - seemingly because it was the
incident of her infant's death and basically her whole world coming
apart at the seems that overwhelmed her and she said repeatedly -
"I just wanted to be still - like a rock."

Discussions with allopaths describe the same happening within the
body as the tissue scleroses. Amazing what the mind can do to the
body isn't it?

So very rare - classified as 'untreatable' or 'incurable' I am
literally amazed at the seemingly 'miraculous' recovery this woman
experienced with little more than will power.

When I asked her what it was that she thought changed things she
replied -" I was so itchy! I just wanted it to stop! All of it. I
just kept yelling inside my own head - STOP!STOP!STOP!...and when I
went in for my bloodwork - it [all of her troubles] had stopped!"

Three days into her bout with chicken pox her bloodwork tested
as 'normal'. All areas came back with normal ranges - blood and
urine. The chicken pox erupted, burst, scabbed over and started to
sluff off by the 6th day of engagement. I don't know of a case of
chickenpox to appear and disappear so rapidly!

Since she has basically been 'disease free' for three years - except
the physical markings I went back to the intitial incident and
worked my way foreward - but am stuck at this point wondering if
past issues have been effectively dealt with and if this lingering
effect is something all together different.

Again - something good to ponder as I do some reading on your
suggestions.

I thank you again.

Then maybe Croton tig would be the rx to look at (skin feels as if hidebound) - has a great desire to be free from the despair, to be released, described as being like a statue - check out what Sankaran writes about this rx and there are also cases in the 'plants' book. Joy
