Temp 103.5--now cellulitis

Post by Cynthia Rankin »

Even in this heat, my British husband always wears socks. Finally got him to take them off this morning. He had had an ingrown toenail a few days ago that he said was better. Now the left foot was red past the ankle and swollen. The only pain is a tenderness on the side of the toe that had the infection with pus. He wasn't aware of any problem.
I gave him Lachesis 30c. thought of Apis. But mainly will take him to the ER. I know. I caved. But I haven't found a homeopath here that practices Classical Homeopathy. Temp gone up to 102.2

It seems remarkable has not complained more. Can't think just now of the rubric for that but Arnica can have celluitus and general soreness but has night sweats. Is chilly. Hepar Sulph would be a lot touchier I think. Very interesting , Have to go, Jean

EXTREMITIES; NAILS; complaints of; panaritium (9) : ars., fl-ac., hep., nat-s., sil., apis, lach., merc., rhus-t.
I think needs a higher potency. Lachesis purple ?talkative. Apis ?flat pale and not thirsty better cold applications but generally hot and he likes to wear socks. I think Arnica was wrong. not in painless rubric. Is he passing urine OK. Do hope problem already solved,Jean

If I hadn't made him take off his socks, we wouldn't have caught it. There was only slight tenderness near one of the cuticles. When he had a toe infection a few days ago, I gave him Heper Sulf 30c twice and he said it was fine. I think after swimming, his feet were damp; he put on his socks, and the weather here turned very hot and humid.
I called a recommended homeopath who deals with giving multiple remedies at the same time. I said no. Then he wanted to give Bryonia 200c three times a day. Bryonia? That ended that. I gave him Apis 200c and he says it feels a little better. Giving it in MS solution. He did take an anti-inflamatory. I didn't know it had aspirin in it. He immediately sweated through the sheets and the fever broke. I caved and gave him antibiotics. It was too scary watching the red swelling almost reach his knee. My skills and experience are limited.

Looks like it might be Ledum- 30 or 200 a few doses-

Is the foot itself warm or cold?

Later on for the ingrowing toe nail itself you might want to try Caust
or Graph-

The foot feels cool, definitely not hot.
The toe nail looks normal, just ever so slightly swollen.

I actually have an LM.
Should I try that in an MS?
