I have also come across something of this sort for even regular
medicines - there was a piece published by H.Recorder 1946 by K. Moyer
on the treatment of Diabetes.
He has a list of 10 or so remedies - Apis mel Q or 1xnormalizes, Ant.
crud 3x reduces, Baryta Carb 30 x increases, Nux.mos normalizes etc.
Some of this might be action of the crude substance and considering
how hormones need minute amounts to act physiologically, there might
be some physiological action in low potencies
4c,
these are just extras to try to help.
Can anyone prove that the above actually does anything, I understand
the theory and have used this approach several times over the years
but really dont bother now because I have never been able to discern
whether it helps or not and I dont like giving powerful substances in
potency willy-nilly. It is not impossible that this may do more harm
thatn good. I think it is used in faith and hope more than anything.
hyou
hyperthyroid.
Similar comment. I know where this comes from but I really dont
believe it. Experimented in my early days with the concept and have
used low potencies a lot in my own way since and have no evidence that
these rules are true. Difficult to assess anyway. It seems its one of
those things you take on as a belief and kinda make it work for you
maybe possibly...

THE OPPOSITE ACTION OF HIGH AND LOW POTENCIES
According to Koppikar the actual action of a dose potency high or low depends on the specific remedy and the specific symptom and is effective only in some situations. (CAVEAT)
Some examples by Koppikar:
1. Calcarea carb 200C would cure diarrhoea only in high (200C, 1M) and constipation only in 6C.(Dr Katre)
2. Podophyllum high cured diarrhoea nicely and was a fine remedy for constipation with whitish (bileless) stools in 6C.(Edwin Moses Hale)
3. Iodium 200C, 1M added weight to lean and even emaciated boys and girls;iodium 2X, 3X are the best remedies to help in reducing obesity, of course alongwith indicated constitutional rmedies for normalizing.
4. Weakness, dizziness on sitting up, jaundice was cured with Digitalis high (30C, 200C) when the pulse was SLOW and with Digitalis 3X, 3C, 6C when the pulse was FAST.
5. Bryonia 200C to dry the phlegm and Bryonia 6C when there was too much dryness in the air passages.
5. Bryonia 200C to dry excess synovial fluid in the large joints like knee joints and Bryonia 6C when there was apparent lack of lubrication in the large joints.

(On how the French drainage repertories came to be successfully used for TB when Kentian methods were failing.)
BOUKO-LEVY Michel, Homeopathic and Drainage Repertory (bkl1)
(Use of high low multiple drainage remedies including some sarcodes.)
COMMENTS
In general a rough approximation could be stated as follows with the above CAVEAT:
30C (or 200C, 1M) INCREASES (Sarcode suppresses an overactive gland or organ?)
3X (or 2X) DECREASES (Sarcode stimulates underactive gland or organ?)
6C (or 6X) NORMALIZES or DECREASES (Sarcode regulates fluctuating gland or organ?)

Re: Cat with aggressive breast cancer
Many thanks for the additional notes - very interesting to add to the
attempt to understand these remedies and specific remedy actions better.
It seems to me to make sense - because fro wexample a low potency of a
toxin (tincture) causes poisoning but a high potency removes symptoms
of poisoning. So somewhere there is logic and cross-over between
physiological and homeopathic effects.
My hope - expectation - is that a low potency (but more than
tincture/zero) would enhance physiological effect.
Namaste,
Irene

Re: Cat with aggressive breast cancer
Your methods of using unproven potentised sarcodes is antipathic and
perhaps you'd like to read what Hahnemann says about this method of
treatment in the Organon (approx stanzas 56 on)
Perhaps you can tell us where Hahnemann taught you to use unproven
potentised sarcodes so that we can appreciate that
It is quite funny how some people align themselves with Hahnemann in
saying "he would have done this as well" - that's some pedastal
I wish Ardavan would bring back his weekly Organon 'readings' - it
would seem to be necessary.

Re: Cat with aggressive breast cancer
Hi Joy,
So you find no value in Irene's observation that, with this she is
saving the prednisone-treated cats, whereas without it she was losing
them? That's very curious to me! Or do you just think that her
observation is wrong, or ?

Re: Cat with aggressive breast cancer
Dear Shannon, no-one knows what is going on with these cases when the
so called simillimum has been given and potentised sarcodes (more than
one?) and vitamin therapy and ??
it is possible that the simillimum is wrong, possible that some are
incurable cases, possible that the potency or dose of the 'real and
true' simillumum was wrong etc etc - it is all guesswork
It certainly won't be a situation where the sarcodes won the day
otherwise why even bother with homeopathic rx. The best lifestyle and
comfort and nutrition is imperative to support life but still waiting
on the theory behind potentised sarcodes.

Re: Cat with aggressive breast cancer
Hi Joy,
IMO you are arguing exactly like the allopaths are arguing against
homeopthy - i. e. since no-one knows the mechanism of healing the
evidence - kin Irene's case 50% success against 0 % - is not relevant.
In case of the allopaths it would be: a patient is dying, they do not
know what to do to prevent it, but refuse to let a homeopath try their
remedies.
If, by some lucky stroke, the homeopath manages to get the remedy to
the patient and the patient recovers - the argument would be just like
yours: they do not know whether or not it was not, after all, the
allopathic remedies that had been given.
Much does the patient care - much does the cat (owner) care.
What is more important - the patient or the theory?
Regards
Luise

Re: Cat with aggressive breast cancer
when you take the case in a homeopathic manner, rank the sx and
repertorise accordingly, select the best indicated remedy and
understand what needs to be cured in the case, conduct follow ups and
assessments and understand the remedy reactions and the need to change
course if necessary, i.e. what to do next if anything, then you do
know what is happening in a homeopathic sense and this is not
guesswork or lucky strokes but because you understand how homeopathy
works you know what is happening and can be sure it is the homeopathy
but for the 'doubting thomas' as yourself regarding homeopathy, so be
it however you want it to be - that seems to be the way, shaken and
not stirred!
and in this situation it has been theories that have been dominant,
i.e. the peculiar need to prescribe so called supplements such as
unproved potentised sarcodes - so you tell me what is more important,
the client or the theory!
