Bowleggedness

Post by talking2trees »

Does anyone know of a rubric for being bowlegged? The closest I can
find is Extremities - Knees, position of - outward.

Also, I seem to recall a constitutional picture of the bowlegged,
scrawny limbed person with the distended belly (especially in
children), but can't remember which one. Silicea?

Thanks for any insights,
Cristi Lewis, CHom.

Dont know about the big belly skinny limbs but bowleggedness can also be a sign of past rickets and if I remember rightly Calc Phos?? is one of the remedies I was taught to look at in cases of this (if it fitted of course) Boericke has a list of remedies for Rachitis (Rickets) under generalities on P966 (in my book anyway!) Regards Pauline

In this case, it is a child of 2 years. Children typically grow out
of bowleggedness between 3 and 5 years old, but he has such an unusual
body type, and his other symptoms go along with the Calcarea/Silicea
kind of picture...

But I didn't know the Rickets rubric anyway, so thanks!

Blessings,
Cristi
