Royal London Hom Hosp Campaign UPDATE

Post by Carol Boyce »

Hi Everyone,

Things are definitely on the move as the result of the response to my
earlier email - we can be very proud of the fact that there is a
passionate, devoted and active community out there that we can call
to action at a moment's notice.
I've also had more than 100 personal emails from all corners of the
planet and the email has circulated via other people's databases into
places I never imagined. THANK YOU!

I'd like to write again with a full update after tomorrow when I will
hopefully have had the e-petition to the British Government approved.
In the meantime, please stand at the ready - I will be sending links
and standard letters which can be used to write to MP's and the Queen
etc.

btw Letters to the Queen should be very respectful and very simple
and to the point. They need no arguments laid out, she knows the
issues already - we need to simply demonstrate that there is
significant public support.

I also need to mention that I made two important errors in my email -
in reference to Prof Ernst - the email was meant to say: Prof Ernst
AND the Lancet paper - instead of his Lancet paper - he didn't of
course write the paper, but he did instigate the media furor and he
was a signatory to the '13 doctors letter'.
The amount of the refurbishment was 'only' 20 million and not 43 as I
had understood and was taken from an NHS charity.
I also apologise for the typos in the email I sent out - at the time
I had no idea it would go outside our small community and wrote it in
something of a hurry!

Dr Peter Fisher, head of the RLHH was sent my email and has written
to me re the above errors, so I would like to correct them. More
importantly he has now sent out his own email to various
organisations in the wider homeopathic and complementary community in
which he acknowledges my email as extending the net so we can
consider that a success. I'd like us all to work together if
possible, so I am waiting to hear from him again with regard to the
next move and will let you know, hopefully tomorrow.

I'll also write a revised email for public circulation which includes
links and instructions that you can forward to people outside our
community. Until then, please don't circulate my previous email any
further.

Oh and the BBC have been in contact with me - the wheels are turning.

Thanks again for all you do and hold that vision of a happy, healthy
thriving homeopathic world!

Carol
