torn ligament

Post by Tanya Marquette »

Has anyone any experience with using homeopathy to repair torn ligaments?

I have someone with a 9 yr old dog with a torn cruciate in his rear left knee.
The concern is to not make statements about potential healing if it is not possible.

Hi Tanya
I had an 18 yr old young man who had a complete tear of the ACL. (as reported after a battery of tests) We had started him on Ruta 6c 3 times a day for 2 weeks. One month later he was scheduled for surgery. Following the surgery the mother called to tell me that the surgeon reported to her that something had happened that he had never seen before. She asked him what the problem was. He said it was not a problem but the ACL had actually started to repair itself which was completely unheard of. Following the surgery we continued the use of Ruta and 6 weeks later he was back playing ball again.

That is marvelous to hear!
Donna, was your selection guided by factors other than the
correspondence between ruta and ligaments in general?
Thanks,
Shannon

Hi Shannon,
I went straight for the connection with Ruta and its affinity to the ligaments. It sure shocked me. I have used it many of times for tears but never anything like that. It was absolutely amazing to see.

Reperotrize in the usual way. Add nutritional supports.
You need to support the leg during repair, and it is harder to do in a
heavy dog.

Tanya,

This will probably have to be repaired surgically. It may be linked to vaccination, by the way.

Peace,

Cinnabar

Tanya,

Dr. Michael Fox, who has an "Animal Doctor" column in a number of U.S. newspapers, wrote a few years ago that "As for the high incidence of torn cruciate ligaments in dogs today, the culprit may be an adverse tissue reaction to distemper vaccinations."

Don't have information on the date or paper, but you can probably track it down through Google.

Peace,

Cinnabar
