Post by Pauline Ashford »

I know that there is a rubric for someone who doesnt like to eat breakfast or in mornings in general - My memory keeps telling me TUB I could only could find -breakfast agg and I dont know that that is actually what i'm after - it doesnt really agg her she just doesnt like to eat then - has no appetite at that time A characteristic particular for her She works a lot of nights and said she would rather eat b'fast at about 10.30-11 lunch about 4 pm and dinner around 9-10pm - I identify with this also as its my own preference too.
Hope someone can help Thanks in advance Pauline

Appetite diminished, morning + appetite, loss of, morning

Classic Sulphur sx, they can eat no breakfast at all but then get so hungry at 11 am they have to eat then, but when someone is doing night shifts the body clock is strange anyway. Joy

also listed are sulph, nux.v and others

I would double-check if this is a symptom at all- If she had always
been like this ( even before her night shifts) then it might be
important - otherwise not so much...at that point nightwatching <<
would be the main symptom - even including Cocculus, Nux vom etc.

It is common in people who do night shifts - the hours modifiy their
body timings - also she kind of takes food 3 times - it is not as if
she skips breakfast- she just takes it late...

I would suggest to build the case using other symptoms as well- what
about other physical systems - how is the stool for example,
considering her eating patterns- may be find out what other things
have been affected by her night shifts-

Strangely, lyco is also the one who gets hungry on getting up early
in the morning. In this case, this one can be a confirming symptom
but not a clincher.

Hi Pauline!
I really doubt this is a symptom at all. If you eat your main meal at 10pm, it would be a symptom if you are hungry in the morning.
I wouldn´t bet on this symptom.

Working nights, if it is more than occasional, makes the symptom
rather insignificant but a lot of the 'liver remedies' can have this
including Lyc. I have seen it in Nit-ac. They are yukky in the
mornings in every way.

Doesnt like to eat in mornings

Post by Pauline Ashford »

Thanks everyone for your replies, I had originally put in - did anyone think that this preference was worth looking at ?- but didnt want to preempt others thinking. Robin thanks for you comments I was looking at Nit ac as her other comment along with I hate to eat breakfast was I am not a morning person at all and she tends to towards loose bowels and has a case of shingles (with sticking pains) at present that I consider are from her tendency to push under and suppress anything that angers or stresses her until either the skin 'bubbles' up with 'angry blisters' or until she reaches 'snap' point which she describes as quite uncommon but 'very ugly'. Otherwise a very competent and sympathetic person however her job - runs a wedding function faciltiy means she has to be 'nice and cheery and efficient' in front of lots of people - (in wedding day stress mode) regardless of what else is going right or wrong, hence the suppression of anger and swearing are common place for her. P/H also contains a few things that point to Nit ac as well. Chillier than a Nat Mur and Lyc. Many thanks to all for your help Pauline
