Male/Female remedy

Hi All

I really wondered about this issue when I was reading Bailey's
description of Thuja, His description is realy well illustrated but
he specificly note that this is only apply to female Thuja.
I had a feeling that his description can match great also for male
patients,
Does someone understand why he have this strict separation between
the male and female pictures?

I must add that Kent, in his lecture on Thuja also specify the mental
picture for the female patient.

Do you think we can use the same mental picture for male patients?

Bailey is well known for his sexism in his book. Many of the remedies in his
book refer to one sex or the other but somewhere I have seen him write "in
my expererience"!! And that is what it is all about. Any remedy can be used
for either sex as long as the symptoms, mental and/or physical pertaining to
the remedy are there!!

I find this whole discussion odd - apart from the physical differences, in terms of their emotional and mental capacity most people are somewhere on a continuum between male and female. "male" and "female" mental and emotional pictures may be presented differently in materia medica, but a man could have a "female" emotional picture and a woman could have a "male" emotional picture - irrespective of sexual orientation. If I'm not mistaken, the original idea for Sepia came from a male artist who licked or inhaled fumes from his sepia paint as he worked.

Forget the Sepia for females idea.
Ive seen many male sepia patients who have never had their head
crushed(?). A strange notion. Who was the teacher? Its a bit
concerning that our educators are passing on this sort of thing.
