I find the remedy starts working even before it's dissolved, although technically I have heard the instruction as Sheri gives it. Since the remedy does not work on a material level, I don't think it stays as a coating of the pillule. I think there was a discussion on this subject a while ago between Julian and others. If we're talking only of a physical coating dissolving into the water, then the whole action of "grafting" doesn't make sense either, but people have used this technique successfully to make more of a remedy. By the same token, remedies can start working with patients even as they are about to take the dose, or even before that. It may not be scientific but I'm sure many have seen this in practise.
When I prepare medicinal solutions, I usually succuss the bottle 10 times as a "starter". I'm not sure if there's an official instruction on this, but it seems to work OK. 100 times seems a bit much. When using a remedy in a cup of water, I instruct to stir well before each dose, but must admit I don't specify the number of "stirrings"!

Actually the remedy saturates the pillule - I need to change what I wrote
there since I found that out months ago.

But do not need to succuss the first dose.

for acute situations you just want to raise the potency a bit as don't want
to repeat the same potency as Hahnemann says in the Organon
