{Spam?} Oscillococcinum

Post by Sheri Nakken »

you are exactly right

is speculation that the duck may carry antibodies to influenza virus but
I've not read anywhere in the Boiron literature that the duck from which
the organs are derived is actually sick, or that the tissue is itself
diseased.
tissue--that's Hahnemann's definition. Boiron doesn't specify that the
organs are diseased tissue--and I looked up Dr. Joseph Roy's proving notes
which describes how the remedy is made--no mention of diseased tissue
there, just the extracted tissue from the animal. Unless they do specify
this (that they now used the diseased tissue in their formulation),
Boiron's definition of oscillococcinum as a nosode doesn't really fit with
Hahnemann's (though, truly, Boiron's definiton of Homeopathy doesn't really
fit with Hahnemann's either...).

Hi Sheri,

Do you know why Boiron classifies it as a nosode?

Thanks,

Leilanae :-)

Guess-because it is the "flu germs" contained in the duck's tissues
that make it effective against "flu germs" in us?
:-)
