Hi, I was wondering if anyone has heard of Iontrophoresis. It is a
patch with dexamethasone-a steroid? I got hurt at work and fell and
my shoulder and back hurt. So far I have not taken anything, since
all they want to give me are steroids and anti-inflammatory drugs. My
insurance (I believe) won't cover me until this case is over and so I
have not been able to find a homeopathic doctor. I just want to know
if this is safe to take or not. Since I got hurt, I have cut out a lot
of junk foods and have been eating more fruits and veg. But I have
gained 20 lbs. since I got hurt in April-I can't walk very far, as of
right now with these conditions after falling. Any ideas out there?

Iontopheresis is the application and transfer of medicinal ions into

Re: Iontophoresis
PA, does this mean it's ok or should I not take it? I'm not sure if
it's going to hurt my immune system along the way. I have not had any
previous experience with it.

Re: Iontophoresis
My knowledge and use of iontophoresis is limited to the use of dc
electrical currents to generate the medicinal ions. I am not an
authority on iontopheresis and my studies are limited to the
application of mineral and metalic ions, primarily silver. Any answer
I could give you would be based on safety concerns, but I would
imagine topical ion application would be safer than oral consumption.
