Shannon, I haven't seen your previous email. It certainly hasn't come
through to my Inbox.

What I did say was that I haven't heard of any bad reports regarding
combination remedies. I'm mostly hearing good reports, especially in
connection with the dog world.

I've set up a Message Board on the first page of my homeopathic site for
everyone to record their experiences with combination remedies, good or bad,
whether vet, practitioner, or client/victim whatever.

Hm, I wonder who else had said it? Well, if they want to speak up, I
suppose they will! :-)
Cheers,

forgot in the other post:
I was actually not talking about Arnica for such kinds of trauma,
where the person feels as if beaten etc. I was talking about its
indication for bruises on the skin (hematoma etc), wounds of skin and
generally things having to do with bleeding. (Where the thread started
- esp. also, since there was the speculation that there might have
occurred a proving of sorts.)

No: Not all the Heel products (the above-mentioned just *happen* to be
all Heel products - there are many others of the kind from different
companies) are part of the homeotoxology method, at least afaik (I
definitely am no expert in combo treatment) - I do not know whether
the 3 I mentioned are. What I do know is that they are often
prescribed/taken on other considerations, e. g. proven indications =
cured symptoms.

Hi Shannon,
Yes, one prover had this strongly - I think - but I am not sure - only
one.
I wonder. I did not study any of the other provings in this respect,
i.e. I do not know how much of indication of e.g. Symphitum or
Calc. phos. for broken bones is based on such proving symptoms.
However, Eupatorium has this very strongly and afaik it is not a
remedy for actually broken bones.

since that will not have been produced by

I whish someone would do some research on such kinds of questions:-)

Thank you for the informative post. I have used BHI, Heel, And Hobon
products with confidence because I knew of the scientific research
that went into them. Paul Autrey

Joy,
Well, I do not post often as I would like to learn rather than talk, but I for one have not read any evidence that Hahnemann supported combos. To the contrary, he appeared to be 100% against such a practice, in everything from the MM Pura to the Organon, to his Chronic Diseases. I have not read his Paris case books but it seems pretty certain that from what I have read of them from David Little's work with them that they are "forbotten" there as well.
One of the reasons that I eventually came to study homeopathy is because the combo remedies sold "over the counter" gave temporary relief, but my experience was that there certainly was no cure, from hayfever to arthritis.
I do not think that very many serious students, after reading any or all of the three books by Hahnemann mentioned above, would choose combos. I have read posts written by the proponents of combos on this list, none of whom imply that they are students, and I must say that most of them, on the whole, are lucid, informative, and seem quite knowledgeable.
So, just my two cents.

the justification of comination rx and the support to be shown for
them from hahnemann - this is still waiting - so many students on this
list may or may not be convinced that they should now take this route
of using rx in that way - if people aren't posting it isn't because of
discussions like this (maybe a few) but out of over 2000 members,
please, do you know them all and their reasons.

I will bet many people have gone to the emergency room with an
abscessed tooth seeking pain killers or with a migraine(I have). In
your book they're not emergencies. How about a few short inhalations
of ozone(material dose) to stop an asthma attack within seconds. Ozone
(O3,4,5,6,... combination) will take the breath away if too much is
taken in: The Law Of Similars. Paul Autrey

I own well over 100 homeopathy books that I have read numerous times
and that I study. I am continuously learning. I own 3 different
editions/translations of the Organon. I own Chronic Diseases, Lesser
Writings, and many books by Hahnemann's contemporaries. I only own
about 12 Materia Medicas. I have also read Paracelsus and Hippocrates
(books). I know where Hahnemannian got his writing style. About half
of my homeopathy books were written in the 19th century and half in
the 20th. Samuel Hahnemann did not discover "the law of similars", he
rediscovered it. He did not perfect it. His word is not the final
word. I know why homeopathy fell to the wayside, Kentians and
traditionalists. It is time to change course. Homeopathy is a science
and an art. Paul Autrey
