Modifying dosages

I've read some threads here regarding pregnancy and nausea. My wife
is in pretty miserable condition right now, a few weeks into our
fourth child.

My question has to do with her reaction to some remedies we've
administered. We gave Sepia 30 once (four pills), and she had relief
for about an hour, then felt worse than before. Second time we gave 2
pills, and she immediately felt worse and vomited.

Second remedy was Ipecac 30, 2 pills. The first time she took it, she
felt better for awhile. The second time, 1 pill, it made her vomit
within minutes.

In both cases, the first dose made her feel a little better for about
an hour, but then worse. The second dose, though weaker, made her
feel worse immediately, with no relief beforehand.

How should I read her reaction to these remedies? Does it mean we
have the wrong remedy? Or the right one at the wrong dose?

With our first child, at six months she had lost nine pounds, and we
had to hospitalize her with symptoms of dehydration and poor
nutrition (high blood ketones); they administered phenergan by IV,
then gave us suppositories so she'd get some weight back.

The second and third children were much easier, but with this one
she's back on track like the first. Wish I knew what was different.
I'd really like to get her some relief, especially before we fly on
Sunday.
