Ive written on here before my views about nourishing the skin and
promoting healing in the way that Calendula does so I wont repeat
myself. However there are ther things that are good for promoting
wound healing like Calendula but that work more effectively.
Moisturising isnt suppressive. Giving non suppressive assistance to
eczema sufferers while they are having internal homeopathic treatment
can be very useful in keeping them off aggressive allopathic and
mineral based creams. All this of course leading up to mention the
cream that I developed after trying innumerable other things
proprietary and of my own design as an alternative to conventional
creams. Calendula on its own is OK butoverhyped in our texts. Its
best used in combination (can you use that word on here) with other

First of all the skin diseases must be treated giving internal med's.
Calendula is just external to give some relief.
Depending up on the skin diseases , Location , type etc...., also looking at
constitution etc.. may be some of the remdies, like , Psorinum, Sulfur,
Grafitis etc.

If homeopathics are to stimulate the vital force, then I take it to
mean the entire vital force, which includes the internal as well as
the external environments. So maybe it's more of a case of bad
prescribing...if you do not have the simillimum, but give a remedy
that cures the more superficial external wound, then the prescriber
might be misled into thinking they have achieved cure. Perhaps
Hahnemann was also concerned about the other ingredients that the
remedy would be mixed with to be applied to the open wounds (i.e.
sanitary concerns). And it doesn't make sense when you also consider
the opposite...how a very sensitive patient might bathe in his/her
remedy or absorb it through the skin in other ways for internal
afflictions. A bit of a grey area in my mind...
