Registration societies for homeopathy

Can anyone enlighten me regarding the differences, if any, between the
Society of Homeopaths and the Association of Registered Homeopaths?
I'm looking to joining a professional correspondence course with a view to
obtaining a Diploma in Homeopathy and then going on to getting a Licence to
Practice, but some of the schools I've been looking at are only affiliated
with the AR and some are with the SH and AR.

The SOH are extremely concerned about harming people with
homeopathy apparently, that's the only real difference apart from the
registration process and costs.

Apparently they also used to maintain that their practitioners only
practice single dose, single remedy, method, but were taken to court
and had to remove it from their blurb as it wasn't true.

So join the SOH if you are worried about harming people , otherwise
join the ARH

I've already made my decision based really on what's more practical for me.

I like what I read about The British Institute of Homeopathy and their
course fees are more in line with what I can reasonably afford. They know
I'm aiming for a Licence to Practice and their total course covers that
pretty well, at least I'm satisfied with it, and since they are with the ARH
then I'll be joining them too.

BTW, my personal preference is the classical approach and always will be.
The minimum dose and single remedy makes a lot of sense to me and I've used
it quite successfully in treating family, friends and my dogs. I believe
the SOH would prefer to adhere to the classical approach but when students
graduate and start practicing, I see it a lot like drivers learning to
drive: once they pass, they develop their own style - and that's true for
students joining the ARH, too, but with the ARH I get the feeling they're
more open minded.
