help w/ rubrics & patient

Post by yerewan »

hello everybody,

i'm sure there was a discussion going on about this a while ago,
but the threads are sooo long and numerous i don't have the nrg to read it all through once more
so
i have this patient who needs to express himself as clearly as possibly as he's afraid he's gonna be otherwise misunderstood
there is certainly a rubric also for that which i'm just missing

among other things he has a del being internally empty, describing
it as him being a shell full of emptiness and now even that seems to vanish
i found a rub for that which gives Aur, but he's got nothing else for Aur
so i'm a bit astray
he's an old patient of mine, has been on Calc for along time
but he hasn't been on appointment for 6mths or so until now and these are new features he's talking about

mostly he still looks like fitting the Calc pic exept for these statements

any suggestions?
thank you very much
BW,
Will

it

.

Hi Will,

Without knowing anything other than what you write here about the px, it seems like
Calc worked for him, but maybe needs a little tweaking ? (Posology or a combination
a la Scholten perhaps?) With that in mind, I did a search on -

Fear [2] misunderstood (1): op.
and
Sensation [1] emptiness (332):

the latter is huge number of remedies, but Op also there with Calc. (empty, hollow
sensation). It helps if you can narrow it down to an 'area'; e.g. Calc-sil has sensation
of emptiness not relieved by eating, or Calc-phos has it within the bladder). Equally,
if he has a hx of fright, maybe Op. is worth a look. I'm sure they'll be others who can
chip in with ideas tho'.

I love the connection with the shell and feeling empty = Calc. Nice one. :-)

regards, Barbara

A couple more pence:
Calc-sulph has delusion unappreciated which is a corollary of feeling
misunderstood. (Calc-sulph has hx of abcesses, sometimes fear of birds
(also calc-ar) as nice confirms). Calc-sil speaks to dead folks
psychically or out loud.

Although calc-c is an animal rx, Stage 2 of periodic chart is where
calcium is -- do you have the correct series -- an rx which may fit better
may be in same stage, different series...

If any hx of abuse (layer), could consider anac which has emptiness feeling.

"All gone" feeling is one term used in the older materia medicas to
describe a more palpable physical expression of sensation of internal
emptiness.

Best,
A

hi,

thank you all who shared their thoughts about my troublesome calc pt.

i ended up changing his rx to kali-c

main reason perhaps being his previously unrelieved back pains which force him put of bed in the mornings
(others chilliness, fear of loosing control)

as i told him i decided to change his rx his comment to that was very encouraging: " good, i certainly feel different that i last met you"

looking forward to see how he'll respond to this rx
bw, will
