Chris-- Any recommendations?

Post by Lydilos »

Hi, Chris,

Thanks, for your detailed response.

I liked Cantharis, Apis, and Aconite, for the larger picture, but ended
up with Aconite, feeling comfortable with it covering the needs pretty
well. The hesitation to urinate was a big sx, as was the unbearable
burning, and the redness, the antibiotic used as a prophylactic against
bladder infection. The fact that aconite was used on infants who were
reluctant pee-ers piqued my interest a bit more.

...It's been a week now, so it's getting a bit difficult to recall w/o
reading the original email.

Since I've gotten to know Pulsatilla intimately (but always room for
improvement), it crossed my mind when he was reacting in the hot, stuffy
room, comparing it to the last time he urinated, but hesitated to use it
because of he kept drinking and drinking water from his bottle. He never
refused it except in the middle of peeing.

Are there cases of Pulsatilla when thirst is not an issue? I thought
that being a keynote, thirstless is a needed part of the picture with
Puls. ~OR~ is it that a person could drink if the drink was in front of
him, but really isn't thirsty? Hard to say with a 15 mo. old.

It is a challenge to give a complete picture... Will work harder next
time to compose a better sx picture.

Kerry

Keynotes are definitely not always present--have to choose the remedy
on basis of what *is* there, not on basis of what isn't! Also, Puls is
in quite a few "thirst" rubrics--morning; afternoon; before chill;
during heat; burning, vehement; extreme; small quantities often...
Just a selection. So definitely don't eliminate it just because he
keeps drinking!
Best,
Shannon
