In the course of our prior discussion, the topic of old structural damages was mentioned, but never discussed. Has anyone had success in completely removing symptoms from such damages as crushed vertebra, surgical blunders, etc.? I have seen excellent success with old neck injuries in former gynmasts, and some old back injuries - but in those cases the damage was to nerves or circulation, not bones.
Joy, I understand that the occasional use of cell salts in the mentioned cases was purely palliation, but since some damage included 30 years old (or more) structural damages, and the pain returned predictably with bad weather, it seemed the most appropriate solution for those individuals - and kept them comfortable enough to avoid using pain meds and continue to enjoy life. As stated, I had factored those symptoms into the total case, but obviously did not find a simillimum that gave them the sufficient predictable relief of the cell salts. Have you cured any cases of such old damages?
I had written:
Joy responded (a portion of her response is copied here):
I was referring to the chronicity of Nat mur - they tend to dutifully
endure sx for quite a long time, this helps to build that wall of
'protection' that they hide so well behind. A chronic Nat mur might
have required Ignatia or Bryonia at some point but the case has not
been addressed for whatever reason and then becomes chronic. But when
an acute case comes to be prescribed on the 'old sx' need to be put to
one side and not always factored into the new totality, i.e. an acute,
and most of the time these old chronic sx will recede into the
background somewhat anyway. If you bring them to the fore they can
complicate a case and the prescription will be too deep, too soon.
But when the acute has past then you go back to the older sx and treat
them. They can be stubborn sx, complicated, even incurable ones, but
you take the case just as you would for any other chronic condition. If
sx are being produced then you have a case to put together. Routine
prescribing of cell salts to handle flare ups aren't going to cure if
they are not the simillimum to the case - you are merely palliating,
but it depends on the requirement of each individual case.
Best wishes, Joy

Re: Old structural damage - (was Help for mom)
I thought I was trying to discuss this topic of the value of homeopathy
in old structural damage. I didn't cite any cases because I don't have
time to write them up but can think of a couple, one a deafness from
injury 40 years before and another, a bad limp from a hip operation
that wasn't good about 20 + years before - both cured.
I think one problem is that we homeopaths might not get to see enough
cases such as these but I would ask you why you think Homeopathy
couldn't address structural bone or other damage that has become
chronic. If we can address miasmatic taints that can be several
generations old the rest should be snip

Dear Joy,
if it's not too much to ask, I (and many others, I am sure) would be

Kind regards,

I had a case of a botched hip op. The surgeon had told the patient that he did the hip op successfully so tough about the lumpy painful swollen buttock which he had never had a case of before. The patient was unable to walk without pain or sit down comfortably. Bellis Perenis sorted it with a couple of doses of 200C.

Simple - it was because of deep tissue injury and it worked like a charm.
