Lyc

Post by myirishenergy »

Hi All, got a question... In the MM on Lycopodium in relations section
using Clarkes MM, it says a dose of Carb V every eight day facilitates
action of Lyc.
Does anyone know if that's more effective in getting Lyc to keep
working or has anyone tried this?
thanks, Emily

I think there are a couple of reasons for this and maybe others can
supply more - 1) is that Carbo veg is very closely allied to Lycopodium
and 2) supported by the fact that it has been said (possibly by Clarke
himself) that the second dose of Lyc, if needed, doesn't work. I have
seen that happen but only once or twice and Carbo veg can be used as an
intercurrent.

But this happens with other rx as well and intercurrents are required
and I think can be avoided by maybe using water potency. That's all I
can offer but I don't think I would be routine about doing this, i.e.
using carbo veg as suggested, unless the individual case called for it.

Hi Joy, Thanks for responding...
He was very cut and dry "every eight day CarbVeg to facilitate Lyc".
Meaning to make it work better or increase the effectiveness of Lyc.
I found that very interesting.
On many occasions I've used remedies as an intercurrent but it was
due to a peeling away of disease and was totality of symptoms.
This is different he's saying it will make Lyc more effective.
do you get that point of it also?

And let's not forget this Clarke's observation:

"Unless undoubtedly indicated the treatment of chronic diseases should
not be commenced with Lyc., it is best to give first another
antipsoric remedy."
Kind regards,

A.

he might have been emphatic but it becomes routine theory if the case
doesn't require it, that's all I'm saying. Each Lyc case that doesn't
seem to be responding well enough to Lyc will have its own particular
reasons for this and if repetition is needed then water posology would
facilitate this better, imo but the idea is there to be tried if you
are a Clarke fan. However he also might have been referring to
lessening the chances of aggravation by using carbo veg in this way -
if you cross refer what he writes about carbo veg. Joy

This may be completely unrelated, but--One of the "stories" I recall
being taught about Lycopodium, is that today's "club moss" (Lyc) is
genetically identical to what in prehistoric times was a gigantic
tree--that the tree survived and survived as atmospheric oxygen levels
declined, and did so by shrinking and shrinking. Now considering the
relationship between carbo veg and oxygen... Interesting? (And, er,
does anyone know whether that story is accurate?)

yes, it's true and that is why Lyc needs to be 'haughty', to grow big
again because it is now so small. Joy

I've also seen homeopaths in India use Lachesis to "jump-start" a prescription of Lycopodium.
