hi willy
i have a very similar case and is still with me.
he is above 80 and has had this problem for almost a decade now
i gave him cuprum met 200 single dose dry and that has brought down the frequency of choking remarkably.
he feels much relaxed while on his meals now
although in your mom's case it could be correct to consider ignatia as it could be the death of the loved one that could have brought on the symptoms.
it might be an oesophageal spasm and that could be a symptom of anaemia.
it might be good to get the blood tested for that.
warm regards
vivek
