choking

Post by Willy »

Hi everybody,

Although I realise that it can be anything I still would like to make
my question to this forum. It is about my mom (and how difficult is it
to treat some you love and besides that I am not totally unobjective).
I told her to see another homeopath of even her own doctor, but she
refuses. The reason for this is that she does not want to have any
interference. She is 80 and if her time comes, it comes. She does not
want to have any operations and does not want to be put on medicine.

She is almost eighty years and still doing everything by herself (this
includes cleaning my house if nessecary ;-) )
She has problems like macula degeneration, problem with hearing (for
which she has hearing aid) emphysema and osteoporoses.
As a child she had tubulair glands, which they took away.

Sometimes, (and this is why I write this mail) while eating, the food
does not go down and she is almost choking.
Again, sometimes, after drinking some water and a little coughing, all
goes down and she feels better.
Tonight after the first bit the same problem occured again, but worse
than ever (and she still does not want to see a doctor, while I
thought that I have to call 911).
She told me that it seems that something sticks behind the sternum in
the oesophagus. The drinking did not help.
She has to scrap a lot and after a big lump of white mucus came out,
she felt better, although it was not gone completely.
After another scrap, it was gone.
She told me (and this I did not know) that it happened the first time,
shortly after my father died (15 years ago!!).
When this happens, she is rather short of breath and really feels like
choking.
She does not have this with every meal. but in my opinion quite
regularly and with pasta (which we did not have for diner) e.g it is
worse.
Do you have any idea where this can come from and any suggestions
where to look only if it is to have some more information of whatever,
a push in the right direction.

Thanks in advance,
Willy

Why not Causticum if that is an effect of grief and loss?
Broken down seniles. long lasting grief, paralysis and paresis of
single parts etc.

Still I would think a physical exam is a must- esp. difficulty
swallowing in a senior citizen and a fuller case taking....

for as far as I can be objective I repetorized my mom (and not only on
the symptoms written down) Causticum ranked very high, so I certainly
going to have a good look at this remedy.
If she just would not be so stubborn.....
After the mucus was out she felt her old self again, and is definitly
not going for a check up.

Thanks,
Willy
