Rubric help - visual prodrome to HA

What rubric would I use for a visual disturbance that comes before headaches and looks like the heat waves you would see if you looked above a hot stove in the sunlight. He sees these in the periphery of his vision. If you could list the remedies as well I would be very appreciative for that.

The effect that you describe of optical diffraction (as above a hot stove, or on hot pavement) is called the 'schlieren effect'.

Visual effects prior to onset of or during migraine headaches are very common. I don't have a rubric for this prodrome, but do have a short list of remedies I have found particularly effective in such migraines : Belladonna, Chelidonium Maj., Cyclamen Europ., Gelsemium Semp. and Sepia. Not a 'this for that' list, just a few remedies to consider whenever migraines include intense visual effects.

I would consider Bell mainly, all the others also merit attention,

Of course there should be consideration given for other
concomitants, since this looks like migraine triggering factors,
location and extension, kind of pain all would be important, Menstrual
history if woman would be very important esp. if associated with the
headache somehow.

This is a typical prodrome of migraine-type headaches.
