Dear Donna,
Some homeopaths in the UK do make a good living from homeopathy but
they are in the minority I believe, often struggling to pay their
registration membership fees and insurance, just like you. The sad
fact is that not many homeopaths in the UK make even as much as you
a year. If homeopathy was your living and you were struggling
financially would you take on a such a case for free?
The ones that do make a good living have a limit on how many people
they will see for reduced or no fee. There are a LOT of people in the
UK who request free or reduced fee treatment (where we are not
accustomed to paying for our medication due to the NHS) . Many
homeopaths also do charitable work, but rarely online, as it is very
difficult to be effective via this means in complicated cases.
It is possible to treat some conditions by email but it would be
inadvisable in others. It could be unfair for the patients' benefit
as the chances of success could be low and and it would unreasonable
for the homeopath to try to find the remedy without the visual clues
that they often depend on, in certain cases.
The patients' health depends on a proper casetaking for this sort of
condition posted below: Also this sort of case requires a tremendous
amount of work from the homeopath, it is not the sort of thing that
one can prescribe 'from the top of one's head', and is not a simple
case to deal with.
So I would argue that it is not a case of homeopaths being mean and
uncaring rather that what is being asked of them is not practicable
(i.e. to prescribe via email for free)
I urge you to presevere in trying to find a homeopath that will
charge less than 200 dollars and something nearer what you can afford
" I have been diagnosed bi-polar, w/ obsessive thought disorddr, and
post
tramatic syndrome etc.....
I am easily irritated and highly stressed. I have always had an
interested in natural healing and have been trying to cure candida and
a respiatory problem on my own... seems to be helping I constanly clear
my throat and have clear mucus in my chest. Also I would really
like to taper off my psychtropics and go to strictly homepathic,
however I'm confussed as it is stated that one should take only one
remedy. I have been taking natrum sulphuricum and sephia seems to not
only help the respiratory problem but is helping with my disposition as
well. As I research further it seemed that Aurum Metallicum may be the
one remendy for me. I called a long distanse homeopath and they wanted
$200.00, I simply do not have it I make a low income and am raising a
child alone. Can someone help me with a cheaper homeopath ( I have
insurance) or a good book or maybe you could help diagnose me. Please
help I would appreciate it deeply."
kind regards
