Yes I agree that there are several contenders which is why I baulked
at first re the Sulph. Had a look at Thuja for the same reasons you
discuss, in particular the soul 'separated' from body aspect.
Other things that Thuja suits:
A fanatacism with challenging himself
Phos-like qualities (might be camaflouge for Thuja but I feel he is
genuinely open)
Ugliness (not in direct words but the jealous/comparison response to
other's accomplishments, brilliance and beauty might fit)
Unloveable (becoming the class clown to avoid abuse, unsupported by
father and step fathers)
Hurry during mental exertion
Difficulty concentrating
Conscientious about trifles
Can feel watched by someone (in the dark)
Des choc and salt
Back..pressive pain, stiffness, tension
Likes climbing trees (ok, a long shot but also when asked later what
he had the most affinity for animal, plant or mineral he quickly
chose plant)
Things against:
Too open, unguarded...not secretive, closed or defensive. I do
realise that can be hard to pick in a Thuja Pt. but I don't believe
he is a 'great masquerader'
Too helpful in trying to give information...so much so that I had to
be careful with questioning as he was very suggestible and too eager
to please.
Avers things that define him...that people might judge him by his
possessions rather than for who he really is (he doesn't appear to
want to hide himself)
< cold wet weather (cold yes but did say loved the rain and was happy
to run around in it or swim during rain)
Not avers company or strangers, not a loner...can feel too connected
to friends/infatuated
< coffee
Not < moonlight (finds the moon powerful, when full, low, big and
red...likes to see it...walking in the bush with moonlight, takes the
darkness away)
Aversion to life (says loves life)
Fear on seeing green stripes (but loves stripes and was wearing
stripes..green, cream and red)
Walks in a circle (says in procrastination that he gets to the point
of just standing still in his room and in his mind is looking for
something to do to get out of it)
? Lacs: Says has a great mother, no issues with her, very supportive,
she kept the family together. Has a lot of respect for her and women
in general. Relates best with women!
I had to point out that there may be issues from his lack of being
fathered/nurtured. He didn't know his real dad, 1st stepfather was
there when he was a newborn for about 6yrs. The 2nd stepfather after
that, who only recently split with his mother, didn't nurture or
connect much with him though still demanded fatherly respect, was
dominant and didn't listen to his opinions. Said there was a lot of
tension and weight in the house, like stepping on eggshells. Pt.
feels sorry for both these stepfathers for not being good fathers.
It was about Yr12 (final year) at high school that he became
disorganised and felt not supported coming into adulthood, not
allowed to feel perfected. It was also around this time that he
didn't enjoy the male group mentality and was avers malehood, was
negative about his own male sexuality. Said his unproductive thought
processes, not achieving goals, and feeling unintelligent has been
building up since high school.
I would describe his state as more of a 'to and fro' sensation. The
constant dilema of decision making (irresolution/indecision)...will I
go this way or will I go that way...if I go that way 'what if' I had
gone the other way. He constantly differentiates. Perhaps it's
cowardice in decision making (Med)?
When asked to supply a self description AI he was writing to a pen-
friend for the 1st time he found this incredibly difficult and it
took him a bit to get started...came up with this: Very open, not
shut off; ridiculous; enjoy life; love people and friends and
conversation; interests - dance/music; travel; camping, the bush,
tree climbing; a fence-sitter, undefined, recreating myself; always
performing with fun things to do.
Thanks Joy...on looking back over Thuja it has given me more food for
thought
