What is "oxygenoid"--I think I've read it as a constitution and/or
disposition?

Dear Shannon,
In the constitutional categorization of Grauvogl, oxygenoid is close to mercurial or syphilitic classification in the sense of Ortega's miasmatic definitions.

Dr. Von Grauvogl has classified human constitution into Hydrogenoid,
Oxygenoid and Carbo-nitrogenoid, according as they have excess of
water, excess of oxygen or excess of carbon and nitrogen in the blood
and tissues. They also broadly correspond respectively to tile
Sycotic, the Syphilitic and the Psoric constitutions of Hahnemann.
They are described as below :

(i) The Hydrogenoid Constitution : This includes all those persons
whose complaints are aggravated by moisture and humidity, who have a
tendency to retain water in tissues in excess of their requirement.
They are prone to dropsy and anasarea and suffer from diseases of
tissue-growth of the benign type. Ars, Dulc, Nat-s, Nit-ac, Phyt,
Rhus-t, Thuj, Appo, Dig. are some of the remedies attracted by this
constitution. Sycotic miasms.
Abnormal sensitiveness to damp and cold; an inability to live near
fresh water, either rivers, lakes or damp chilly places
(ii) The Oxygenoid Constitution : There is excess of oxygen in this
constitution with the result that the tissues of the body are
destroyed easily. The body is thin and falls ill with the change of
season. Destructive complaints involving genital organs and diseases
of the central nervous system are often met with in this
constitution. The body is prone to ulcer and self-destruction. Some
of the remedies attracted to this constitution are: Cal-p, Ferr-p,
Nat-p, Phos, Ph-ac, Iod and its salts, - Kali-m, Nat-m, Hyos, Stram,
Hell, Sil, Calc, Tub, Zinc, Syph, Merc-s. Syphilitic miasms.

(iii) The Carbo-nitrogenoid Constitution : Persons with this
constitution suffer mostly from diseases arising out of functional
derangement of the body and mind, marked by the erratic working of
the main organs of the body such as heart, lung, liver, spleen,
kidney and accounting for diseases flowing from their defects. Some
of its chief remedies are: Ars, Ars-i, Bar-c, Calc-p. Carb-v, Hep,
Iod, Kali-bi, Lach, Lyc, Nat-m, Nit-ac, Sulph, Tub, Zinc. Psoric miasm.
