genital eruption- new question
Dear List,
As there was a discussion on genital warts, my this question may just
fit in
with it.
What would you call a copper coloured (actually blood filled), slightly
elevated, of diameter 2 millimeter on the scrotum ? There is itching,
(like
pricking) sometime leading to bleeding, and after having bled the skin
turns
normal. Totally there are about one to two dozens of them at any
time.They
are there since ten to twelve years. Is it a blister, or a vesicle, or
just
eruption- bleeding ? Can anyone shed light on it ?
Regards
Venkat

Re: genital eruption- new question
If the eruptions are filled with blood this could indicate bleeding
from within the scrotum.
I would offer that Pemphigus covers a possible dx. Best wishes, Joy

Any history of Abscesses?
I've had my share of learning Silicea due to this man I'm taking care of.
He had similiar what you are describing on his testes.
Check and see if they've had a history of abscesses and if the mentals agree.

Re: genital eruption- new question
I find "skin, eruptions, blisters, blood filled: lach, sec"; "blood
boils" with 34 remedies, but that doesn't sound like your description;
"eruptions, vesicular, blood filled (19 rxs). To me it sounds like
"blood blister", the first, but I'd probably look at all three rubrics,
and wouldn't be confined to those, either.

Dear Joy,
Thanks! But where did you find reference to this ? My few sources
(1.textbook of Dermatology for homeopaths - by Ramji Gupta and RK
Manchanda 2. Skin diseases - by Douglass --both Bjain) describe them
as 'bullous' and describe them as containing a serous liquid and the
size also might be upto a chicken's egg!! The former book has some
photos which shows the skin being somewhat scurfy. But I have none of
that. The skin is smooth except for the elevetaion.
But thanks for suggesting the 'bleeding' as a possible idea.

Dear Shannon,
Thanks! there is a mismatch between the locals and the generals. This
problem is now part of the general picture and may have been the
result of the VF offloading some of its burden on some least
important area and that is the skin. So far I have avoided this sx-
since by taking skin , itching or in the Boen style, take the
location of scrotum itself , the net would have been cast wide and
our similimum might not find a place there.
Thanks for your thoughts

Re: genital eruption- new question
I got the info out of my head
but I realise now that this has been
a chronic condition and if it were pemphigus I think it would have
'developed' further, i.e. got much worse by now? Chris has possibly hit
it on the nail. Best wishes, Joy
