Styes
I appear to be starting with a stye or at least that is what it feels like. It is on the upper outer canthi of the right eye with blurred vision. I haven't had one since I was a kid if ever. I note the rep is not very good on styes only 2 Rx for the location I have never heard of let alone have!!
Anyone have any suggestions!!

Hi Rochelle
Take a look at:
EYE - TUMORS - Lids - nodules in the lids
Chalazion/Chalazae
Meibomian gland cyst, or tumor
Tarsal gland cyst or tumor

Re: Styes
Thanks - I don't think it is a stye now as this morning there is still
nothing to be seen. If it is slightly swollen it is from me trying to see
what it is. I am wondering about an in growing eye lash? Meanwhile no lens
and no eye make up for me. Am just dropping euphrasia eye drops on now and
again to keep infection at bay. It just pricks when I blink.

Dear Rochelle
Pls go and see your opticians - they can then look closely at high
magnification and advise you what is happening.
If per chance you are having an eyelash growing at a peculiar place and
hurting your eye, it could cause damage to the lens.
Better be safe!

Re: Styes
I thought a stye was more of an abscess rather than a tumor?

Re: Styes
Borax is one of the first you'd think of for this although others could
include Sulphur, Graphites and several othersdepending on the cause,
i.e. whether it is the behaviour of the eyelash or a problem with the
hair follicle. Joy

Re: Styes
Just a way to expand the list of remedies to research for similar eye symptoms
definition for chazion is
a sty, tumor, cyst, or lump on the border of the eye lid due to
inflammation of the Meibomian gland (poss blocked secretion of Meibomian)
Meibomian gland being sebacous gland on th margin of the lid which
secretes a fluid for lubrication.

Re: Styes
Thanks for all the replies on the subject. Very useful.
Today I can't feel the pricking sensation unless I blink very hard so I
presume it must be sorting itself out. Whether the Apis I took last night or
the Euphrasia drops I have been putting on have been helping is anyone's
guess. And in case you are wondering why I didn't get in touch with my
homeopath - she is at Sankaran's seminar in Goa!!
All the best
