Beta blockers

Post by Rochelle Marsden »

I have a patient who has just been diagnosed with super ventricular tachycardia and has been given beta blockers but doesn't want to take them preferring to sort this out with homeopathy. When she gets an attack her heart rate goes to 170 beats per minute. She has done well on Sepia (last potency was 1M in Sep which caused no problems and then in January) which sorted out the problems she originally came with but this has emerged since December . I would be interested on anyone's views on what has happened here. I don't know the full story yet as I have been abroad on and off for most of the last couple of months for personal reasons and had to postpone patients. I am seeing her tomorrow.

Regards
Rochelle

Hi Rochelle,
I believe it would depend on what her previous complaint was. This would
tell you in which direction her treatment has taken her. Did she previously
have any heart problems or is this new? Is this disease state deeper than
her previous one? Is it attacking a more vital organ than before?

Just some thoughts

Donna

Hi Rochelle

I would second Donna's comments - the direction of cure is very important.

Re Beta-Blockers - they should be avoided as I understand that once you are
on them, it s VERY hard to come off.

Good luck

It appears that there is a family trait for this problem.

Dear Donna and others who have replied,

Thanks for what you wrote. The patient has been doing some reading up on the
dis-sease and told me that it is associated with hot feet. Hot burning feet
was one of her complaints that was removed with the Sepia and I wonder if
this was suppression. Is this the reason why this problem that runs in her
family has now emerged? However the Sepia also got rid of the headaches that
she had been experiencing for 20 -30 years either side of her menses!!! So
maybe this is another layer emerging.

I did retake the case and things emerged which led me towards Lachesis. I
gave her 1 dose of 30C (she is sensitive to some remedies) and she phoned
me later to say that she had taken her pulse and it was 74 the lowest it had
been since she started with all this so here's hoping.

All the best
