Dear Pauline, I just wanted to dip in and out of the case you sent and
offer a few ideas/points.

Certainly there is a problem with this kind of drug taking and it might
need special attention. A client shouldn't withdraw too quickly from
drugs of this kind.

From what you wrote I felt the following was interesting:-

the chronic impetigo on the face

the level of violence within the case = the level of violence placed on
her in the past (abuse - causative?) and her returning the violence to
others/animals in the form of rage, cut off, cruelty, mood swings, etc

the need for care and protection - comes in the form of needing to be
in a cocoon (her 'special' apartment), drug taking to cocoon from pain,
not being able to cope so needs a lot of support (like a child - still
a child due to never receiving nurture?)

migraines

nervous seizures, like a 'rush' SAI brain seizing up

When you get that mixture of violence and return of violence
accompanied with a need to be 'numbed' in some way (cocooned) I began
thinking about Cicuta.

Cicuta is still like the child, needs a lot of support, cannot exist
without it; shun society and hide themselves away but remain
contemptuous; they live in fear of the violence of the pain (hence the
use of drugs to soften this); the causative violence can take the form
of abuse and abandonment that they tend to hide; the fear of the
violence causes a seizure to happen (this is also an equivalent to
'opting out' to the cocoon) and these seizures can be migraines,
paralysing, any movement causing a terrible anger to occur. Cicuta also
has chronic oozing eruptions of the face (Sankaran writes about the
leprous influence, hence the avoidance of society - part of the
Umbelliferae family = violence/abuse, sudden, convulsions, numbness,
regression, furious attacks. etc

Might be worth reading about. Hope useful. Best wishes, Joy

Probably way off the mark but the cocoon again makes me think of the
butterfly, Jean
