Can Oscillococcinum prevent the FLU?

Fear List members,

Jouanny and other french homeopaths and also the company Boiron itself -- recommend using
Oscillococcinum [once a week] to prevent the FLU.

In your experience, can Oscillococcinum really prevent the FLU?

If you have any good or bad experience regarding this - please let me know.

Of course Boiron recommends this--they make money selling it. Boiron also
recommends a full tube of Oscillo as a dose. When all you really needs are a
few grains.

I have only tried it once

I took it when I had flu, the symptoms were firmly established

they disappeared after taking Oscillo 200 sd

They came back a few hours later ( can't remember how long after ,
it was over 10 years ago) and exactly as they were before I took it

It was as though it gave me ma haitus in the illness, enough for me
to get home

Formal research has NOT successfully confirmed that Oscillo
PREVENTS the flu, though several studies have confirmed that it is effective
in the TREATMENT of people with the flu. This is the only SINGLE remedy for
which there have been large double-blind, placebo-controlled trials
conducted by 3 independent researchers. It DOES work, though it works best
if treatment is given within 48 hours of flu (or flu-like) symptoms.
