Can Homeopathic Arsenic Remedy Combat Arsenic Poisoning in Humans Exposed
to Groundwater Arsenic Contamination?: A Preliminary Report on First Human
Trial

Groundwater arsenic (As) has affected millions of people globally
distributed over 20 countries. In parts of West Bengal (India) and
Bangladesh alone, over 100 million people are at risk, but supply of
As-free water is grossly inadequate. Attempts to remove As by using
orthodox medicines have mostly been unsuccessful. A potentized homeopathic
remedy, Arsenicum Album-30, was administered to a group of As affected
people and thereafter the As contents in their urine and blood were
periodically determined. The activities of various toxicity marker enzymes
and compounds in the blood, namely aspartate amino transferase, alanine
amino transferase, acid phosphatase, alkaline phosphatase, lipid
peroxidation and reduced glutathione, were also periodically monitored up
to 3 months. The results are highly encouraging and suggest that the drug
can alleviate As poisoning in humans.

I remember looking at the symptoms reported by the poor people who had used
these waters and it did not match with Ars symptoms!
I also remember that World Bank who had authorised and paid for the sinking
of these wells did not then go on to test the water quality! Shame on them.

Hi Soroush,
Remember that is one of the differences between isopathy and
homeopathy--a victim of poisoning will *not* necessarily (and maybe
even not usually) display a poisoning picture that is purely "of the
substance"; more usually the picture will be a *blend* of the picture
of the substance (in this case arsenic) *plus* symptoms from the
preexisting weaknesses of the victim.
And that is one of the advantages of homeopathic treatment over
isopathic: Altho the isopathic remedy apparently can be effective in
helping the person return to their *prior* state of health, or nearly
so, it does not as a rule improve the health any further (and maybe not
quite a complete restoration); whereas treatment with the
homeopathically indicated remedy can remove the poisoning effects *and
leave the person stronger than they were before*. At least that has
been my understanding, and that is what my experience has suggested.
But--for curiosity, what do you have about the symptoms they shared?

Hi Shannon
I think this goes back a while and my understanding of Homoeopathy is a
little better.
I think in such mass poisonings, one has to remove the maintaining cause and
then treat the symptoms of those affected as that from an epidemic disease.
