Mmm . phen; beautiful things, finery, desires:, maybe the one I was thinking about.
This is a very angry violent swearing child that desires all the best things in life - from the most expensive food to clothes. However I have to say that I found him (age 11) angelic and his concerns were that he was being treated differently than his siblings and that is why he is like he is. However his mum called him a liar and admitted not liking him and saying that his older sister doesn't acknowledge him( which was one of his gripes) because she doesn't like him. I felt sorry for the kid but maybe I am just naive and a push over.

Possibly rubrics relating to avarice, "desires more than she needs", egotism, lavish, desires fine things (I can't remember how the rubric puts it)?

But that's such a tiny rubric (only 3 remedies in my rep). I think
"avarice" must be very similar in meaning?
Two remedy thoughts (and I won't lay money on either, just thoughts)
are saccharum album (defiant, discontnted, forsaken feeling, jealousy,
malicious, desire for sympathy--but not under "liar" or "cursing") or
(is this weird?) Puls? But I don't see that anywhere under "violence".

Can you tell *why* he wants those fine things? I assume it's not for
the things themselves--does he have such a highly developed aesthetic
sensibility, or is it an effort to prove (to himself? or others?) that
he has... what--worth? power? What sorts of things does he want, how
does he go about getting them, and what does he do when he gets those
things--claim "bragging rights" or hide them away? Does he really
appreciate those things he's gotten (personal gain), or is it more of a
"get and forget" situation (about the power rather than the things)?

I've seen how a person's belief can create the reality; if he *feels*
(just for instance) unloved and unlovable, perhaps that's (partly?)
behind behavior which makes him *appear* unloved and unlovable?

What sorts of lies does the mum say he tells, and what is his response?

Dear Shannon,
I really needed more time with him and don;t have the answer ot all your
questions. It was Mum who told me about the materialistic trait and I will
ask him next time.


Thanks fo your thoughts. Sacc Alb tends to be babyish as they don't want to
grow up. I don;t see this in this lad. Puls? well he is trying his utmost
to get affection and I could have given him a cuddle.

He was
certainly loveable to me- a gorgeous blond haired child who pulled at my
heart strings. What is he playing at???


The example mum was telling me was to do with how he denied taking a
cigarrette from her packet all day and to everyone- really kicking up a
stink about it and then he admitted it the next day. I did try asking him
but didn;t get anything worthwhile in reply.

His "real dad " as he calls his , left the household 5 years ago and from
what he tells me was very violent towards him and also possibly his brother.
Mum admitted she knew about some of it but appeared upset when I told her
exactly what I had been told and didn't deny that it may have happened.

His biggest grouse is that his younger brother gets a second chance and he
doesn't when he is naughty. The punishment is being sent to his room which
he hates. He is actually scared to go to his room alone at night and tells
me that he sleeps under the covers because he is fearful that his real dad
will come and take him away.

I suppose this child could be just a good actor. I gave mum the Ullman book
Rage Free Kids to read!!!!
