Dear All,
This hoax 'virus' has visited me in the past. I can assure you that it is a
malicious prank.
It has been circulating the homoeopathic community worldwide off and on for
some time.
Panic not! Delete nothing - Just the sinister e-mail.

Re: SULFNBK.EXE WARNING
It's interesting how this hoax rears up its ugly mug so regularly, my
husband's just had to re-establish a whole
batch of computers after the sales staff panicked and deleted .... he's
in the computer industry and I was...
believe it's not worth the breath ....
just trash the email ... move along now...there's nothing to see folks
...
peace

Re: SULFNBK.EXE WARNING
This is strange, I installed Norton Antivirus 2002 two days ago and it identified SULFNBK.EXE on an incoming mail message called it contaminated and quarantined it. I didn't have to delete it Norton's handled it.
Re: SULFNBK.EXE WARNING
There IS a virus that uses the sulfnbk.exe file to spread - it comes in on an attachment via email - if you open the attachment, you are infected. That is what you are referring to below
HOWEVER the one that is being talked about in this thread is DIFFERENT - it is a hoax going around which is telling you that if you find this file in your system that you are infected.. This is a necessary file for windows long file names and can mess you up if you delete it!
This hoax is actually a virus of sorts - it is a "Social Engineering" virus ie - the only way it can harm your computer is if you do what it says.
The one your antivirus software dealt with was a "real" virus.
Hope that helps!
