Well expressed! the guru system has always found a home in homeopathic teaching and that needs to be challenged because it naturally then extends into homeopathic practice. Our role is to free the individual to pursue life's higher goals (aph 9), according to H1810, not to dictate the goals. As for miasm, susceptibilities come with life, not just human life: potatoes are susceptible to diseases that pass daffodils by. we have grouped and named our human susceptibilities as miasms but as for trying to understand why living things should have susceptibilities at all, it is interesting and I have enjoyed this discussion but I would be suspicious of anyone who reckoned they *knew* the answer!
As for trying to be dumbledores - well we all know what happened to him. or do we?

religious / spiritual practice has for the individual patient that

If the physician wants to deal as a Father/ mother /Creator with the
patient that itself shows unresolved issues in the physician and all
the more reason why he/she should not be dealing with the issues. We
should not allow the patients to hang their hang-ups in the hooks we
provide.

If the physician needs to feel capable of dealing with all these
archetypal issues and Father/ Mother/ Creator issues of the patient
they should probably undergo psychodynamic preparation or go thru
Murray Bowen's process of differentiation before doing this. I
understand that we want to help the patients in all ways we could
but there is also the question of "not harming the patient" in our
zeal and enthusiasm. And we certainly are NOT the answer to ALL the
patients questions and problems. Not all of us are Dumbledores....

Well, he got killed by the bad guys at the tender age of... whatever,
not a tender age! If I can live to be that old, and die for so good a
cause, I will count myself blessed. But most of us won't be at that
much risk, just from trying to educate and help our patients!
