EYEWASH

Post by Cl.Mennel »

Dear Co-Minutusists,

as far as the preaparation mentioned by Theresa is concerned I want to
mention some implications. It is important to mention to the pharmacy
that you want the salinie solution of the remedy to be FILTERED to make
it sterile, NOT to be put under ultraviolet light, which seems to be
done by some chemists, ultraviolet light may distroy the remedy.

Two more remedies I would like to share with you, although thy are not
strictly homoepathic in the classical sense of the word:

Vervaine, the Bach remedy in saline solution, making eyedrops. It cured
the infected eyes of 5 kitten, the last litter of my cat, which she got
outside the house in an old van, seemingly a rather infectious
environment. It was fantastic: three days and the pus was gone, three
more days and the eyes stopped watering. Vervaine eyedrops are a good
remedy for strained eyes, too - especially when you get that raw
feeling.

Herbal tea made from a concoction (cooking time 10 minutes, one table
spoon per 1/4 l or 1/2 pint of water) of oak bark (Cortex Quercus). You
drench a piece of cloth in the luke warm concoction put it on your
CLOSED eyes while lying down. Especially people who wark a lot at the
computer should remember that remedy. It calms and soothes the strained
eyes, and thus the whole body is relaxed, often you soon fall asleep.
Therefore it is fantastic to put children to sleep after some exiting TV
show or computer chat.

The latter is also a remedy to keep in mind for the case mentioned - in
case the eyes gets easily overstrained or some irritation remains.

I hope you don't mind me for going astray from the strictly speeking
classical homoeopathy, but I think it's worthwhile.

All the best

Claudia
