I had a new patient in today, a 12 yr old who said a few times "my heart sunk" when referring to the way she felt. She was referring to the sinking feeling she gets when shouted at or when she saw someone she hadn't seen for a while and wondered what to say to them, or even on a fairground ride. Just interested in whether anyone could come up with a way of repping this.

Symptom??
Re: Symptom??
Dear Rochelle:
Uneasiness or apprehension could be related to that "sinking" sensation.
I only found one exact rubric in Kent's rep (Chest, sinking sensation of,
heart), but it was trnslated to:
Chest, weakness, heart, sensation of, about the: ars_i, aur-m, gels, lob, merc,
naja, ph_ac, rhus_t, sang, sumb, thu.
Could this be it?
Best, Caro.

Re: Symptom??
Thanks I love that rubric as it does sound like the sensation.
I have now found
Boenninghausen, Chest; HEART AND REGION OF: SINKING SENSATION:, ambr[1], bell[1], cann-s[1], cham[1], hyper[1], lil-t[1], tarax[1]
But it is more the a mind symptom I think as in
RU, Mind; phen; ANGUISH; mod; sinking sensation, with:, carb-an[1]
Thanks for getting me to look in another direction

Re: Symptom??
Yes embarrassment would be about right!!
An interesting remedy because the child is dyslexic and there are rubrics to do with reading in the Rx. However although a nervous child in that she constantly played with her fingers she did not strike me as at all excitable - calm would be a better word. It is certainly a remedy to keep in the back of my mind for her.
Thanks for drawing my attention to it.

Re: Symptom??
Carb-an is an 'end stage' rx and this anguish they feel comes towards
the end because they know their life (or a part of it) is nearly done.
