Craziness

Yeah, there's a lot of crazy sounding stuff in homeopathy. While
I marvel at the creativity and am neutral belief wise, I shudder at the
day this crazy aspect 'gets legs' in the media. All it will take is for
some state president or movie star to receive treatment from someone
known to be into that stuff, and I guarantee the media (in the U.S and
U.K at least)--radio and TV talk shows, newspapers, magazines, will
have a field day! We will go from being a poor cousin of mainsteream
medicine to being the crazy relative kept in the remotest part of the
house.
There's something to be said for not letting the mainstream
define us.......it will assure our continued poverty. Define yourself
by all means, but if you want foundation grants to do research and
start homeopathic hospitals and so on, swallow your contempt, get off
your asses and get at least the partial blessing of mainstream science.
This will allow the kicking in of legal doors. Insurance company
lawyers won't be able to say in their benefits denial motions that
there is no scientific proof that homeopathy works. Different ballgame.

Well HRH and family have used homeopathy for decades and it hasn't had
the sort of impact you are referring to but maybe the royal family
aren't so media savvy these days since the demise of Di. Do you really
want homeopathy to be defined by the rich and famous? I for one am
certainly not gagging for acknowledgement of mainstream science and
that doesn't mean that I prefer that homeopathy stay in the backwaters
either. Joy
