Unusual tongue rubric

Post by Joy Lucas »

Any action that is involuntary might suggest a spasm or muscle problem
of varying causations - can be nervous, can be to accomodate pain, can
even be because there is no sensation in the tongue so pressing it
against something hard like the palate actually gives a sensation, etc.
Might be worth using the Tongue, motion rubrics + Tongue, spasms +
Tongue, drawn up.

If it is due to the mouth being so dry that the 'tongue adheres to the
roof' then there are quite a number of rx in that rubric.

I would ask him what the tongue feels like and also ask him why he
thinks he does this - answers could be useful.

Best wishes, Joy
