OK, another take on this is that Shannon's idea of this feature of
cheerfulness not being tested to the full, yet to be disrupted by the
chronic state is present in this case and it brings back to mind
Soroush's idea of Sulphur and it is a little keynote of Sulphur -
hopeful dreamers, foolish happiness - the sulphur that hasn't reached
the really emotionally eruptive stage. All the sx you have now given
fit Sulphur and there is the one big sx of suppression by the AB's that
hardly any other rx has to the same degree. Possibly this rx could open
up the block and even be curative. As this is a chronic case I would be
exploring further her ability to tolerate this situation in this way
versus the effects of those antibiotics as to why she can't shake this
off and to see if there might be more useful sx. Best wishes, Joy

Pseudomonas - Swimmer's Ear - Need Rubics
Re: Pseudomonas - Swimmer's Ear - Need Rubics
Dear Carol
I have a paper from Dr. Banerji on Otorrhea and its treatment based on the results of clinical
trials if you are interested.
Using his method of evaluating the successful treated cases and their various presentations, he has
listed a variety of remedies with the successful potencies and their presenting symptom totalities,
which only include the otorrhea symptoms --- colour, odour, consistency; pain type of pain,
radiation of pain, duration of pain, nature of pain; associated with vertigo, fever, glandular
swelling, relation to cold infections, tonsilitis etc.; past history-injury, miasmatic disease,
viral disease; after effects of - drugs, drowning etc......
From what I can see, contenders could be Tellurium, Merc and Oleander and even Psor. Very
interesting information.
I personally have used Merc with instant success for an ear infection I had --- within minutes of
taking the rem, there was a bubbling sound and sensation within my ear and then a complete
discharge, and then complete relief from pain and very quick healing and no reoccurence. So, I
suppose that it was the 'correct' remedy for me at the time. Hep-s had done nothing and was in agony
so, even though there was no blood &/or puss, which I would expect for a Merc picture, it worked
anyway. It actually felt like it was needing to 'burst' open, and this is maybe what happened when
hearing/feeling the bubbling sensation.
Contact me off list if you want me to get the paper to you, as it is not currently in a form I can
send so would have to 'do' something if you wanted it.
Best
Robyn

Thank you for your kind offer of the material. This case has generated
considerable interest on the list. Pseudomonas is a stubborn and the difficult
organism to eradicate with allopathic medicines as this poor woman's condition
reflects. I haven't had much success homeopathically reducing her
discomfort either. I would gladly reimburse you for your time, copying, packing, and
postage for the information. If you have a PayPal account I could have the
funds transferred directly to you. Otherwise I could use a credit card or
send a check.in US dollars.
I deeply appreciate your contacting me regarding this case. I see quite a
few pseudomonas ear infections here. At least I seem to get my fair share. I
have had a nice response to homeopathic treatment across the board, but this
case has proven to more difficult than any I have encountered.
Thank you again for your kind offer.

Dr.Bernat-
Whatever happened to this patient with Swimmer's ear? Do you have
any progress with this patient? Is she suffering less from pain now?

Re: Pseudomonas - Swimmer's Ear - Need Rubics
Thank you for your interest in this patient. I left Wisconsin in October,
so haven't been able to do a proper follow up on the case. She is an Amish
girl so I can't even telephone her to see if she has improved beyond what I saw
prior to leaving the area. The first prescription was Staph 30C and she
reported a lessening of pain. The second dose was Staph 200C in a medicinal
solution (one pellet in 4 ounces of water, with one teaspoon of the remedy added
to another 4 ounces of water.) She was instructed to take one teaspoon of
the remedy and wait three days. She reported a definite lessening of the pain
though the discharge continued.
She repeated the dose again when the pain returned a week later. Again the
pain diminished but the discharge continued. She was very good about
following directions for dosage. I suspect she will need another remedy but
unfortunately I can't do a proper follow up with her.
