Hi,

The research was carried out by Dr. David Reilly of
the Glasgow Homoeopathic Hospital.

But what an earth is "a homeopathic allergen preparation." ????

I thought homoeopathy was about individualisation.

This is using potentised substances as an allopathic medicine.

Not a good way to promote Homoeopathy.

The problem is that most 'homoeopathic trials' are in fact isopathic trials.
I personally find them of little interest.
I understand where the sceptics of homoeopathy come from however. They are
educated to think in a particular way and to use a particular paradigm in
their thinking whenever they are at work. It is next to impossible to get
them to remove the spectacles they wear whenever viewing reality. Everything
must be quantitative in the way they think.
One approach of explaining potencies might be to surmise that our remedies
have been prepared in a way that alters the orbit of the electrons in the
medium in which they are prepared. I am not saying that I know for certain
that this is the case but it might be an interesting possibility for a
sceptic to consider.
Interesting books for scientific minded sceptics would include:
Bastide - Signals and Images (produced by European researchers)
Endler & Schulte (editors)- Ultra High Dilutions: Physiology and Physics
(about £100) Endler and Schulte apparently are at the cutting edge of
serious conventional research.
Hope this helps,
Stewart McOwan

Hi,

I agree with you but this study can show skeptics that
potentized remedies are not the same as water.

Hi,

Just a quick mention of a couple of articles I've read about chemistry,
these are on research done
into properties of potentized water available on-line which might be of
interest to those of
'need science to prove' mindset

Enjoy!

P.S. I don't know about anyone else, but personally I feel Homeopathy
self-promotes through positive results in the face
of medical scepticism and often astonishment. Our time is best spent not
trying to convert ..but satisfying the ever-increasing demands
for gentle solutions to chronic health problems of those who are
accepting of the possibility of cure... the others will catch up when
they are ready to take Homeopathy on board mentally.
