Management/mold questions

Post by Shannon Nelson »

I've been having a very "interesting" time with my epileptic friend's
treatment. She was doing very well for quite a few months on
infrequent doses of Nat-m LM-1, but then things got rocky. Quick
summary--she started to "crash" again (extreme exhaustion and depltion
being the main symptom), and at that point further doses aggravated.
LM-2 also aggravated. LM-6 gave a very promising result, but now she's
having a lot of trouble managing a mold problem in her home, which had
evidently been "a work in progress" for quite a while. She is again
having nat-m type symptoms (the extreme depletion is back, but also
bouts of severe depression and grieving over past wrongs); at this
point LM-6 helps her mental outlook greatly, but isn't helping the
exhaustion (which at times is very, very severe, more like
prostration).

Every time she leaves her house she is better (over past months has had
several short trips, and recently was housesitting), but once she comes
home, starts to collapse again within (she reckons) about half an hour.

She has people working on the mold problem--there have been all sorts
of practical obstacles, but the work has finally begun. I'm not so
optimistic that it will be as simple as replacing the counter she's
focused on, but we'll see...

So my question du jour--should "the right remedy" let her keep being
okay in spite of the mold, or (as is my suspicion) is this one of those
maintaining causes that we've just got to deal with adequately before
she can make more progress? (I figure I'm only asking for guesses,
experiences, impressions...) It's *definite* that she needs to deal
with the mold, but I'm disappointed that the remedy seems to have
stopped working. I'm wondering whether I need to keep trying other
remedies (tho I don't frankly know what those would be, at the moment),
or ??

All thoughts appreciated!
Shannon

Dear Shannon

Your answer lies in your statement:
"Every time she leaves her house she is better (over past months has had
several short trips, and recently was housesitting), but once she comes
home, starts to collapse again within (she reckons) about half an hour."

This is a case of maintaining cause.

She is obviously adversely affected by the spores of the mould and should
avoid it.

But shouldn't I be able to find a remedy to help her keep functioning
from home, while she addresses the problem?

If it was a case of a woman being physically abused by her husband, would
you send her back to him?
No - of course you would not - so what is the difference?
Her vital force is depleted. She needs to remove herself from the
maintaining cause of the depletion of her vitality.

The patient is not cured if she still has the symptom esp. if there
are other people in the same house with no problem - But may be some
temporary respite might be needed till she becomes better... if she
is reacting so acutely

She's trying, but living on the street wouldn't be very good for her
either...
Well, we'll see...
Thanks!

By "temporary respite" do you mean getting out of the house, or
something else? She's doing that, as she's able. Whether others would
react to it, I'm not certain, but it *appears* that it is genuinely a
troublesome mold, not only her own reactivity--but I can't be sure.
She lives alone in an apartment-style building, says the person
downstairs also has mold problem, and has been very sick, presumably
also from the mold, but they've had limited success with the landlord
(complicated situation, not as simple as a rental, something called a
"land trust" so she has a stake in the building, tho I'm hazy on
details; plus she has no money to move).

This is a big ask and it raises many questions. If we were to avoid all
the 'bad' things in life then we wouldn't ever get sick?? Virtually
impossible. And then there is individual susceptibility to consider.
Some get sick, some don't. Is there any advantage in giving a remedy
with the intention of boosting the immune system to the extent that it
will not be effected by such a substance as mold?

Not sure I care for the simile Soroush gave regarding violence within
the family as this is so much more complicated. If you use a slightly
different example such as an allergy to strawberries are you going to
ask someone to forever avoid them or treat the underlying allergic
state? Or someone who cannot tolerate noise, do we take away noise or
treat the extreme sensitivity.

Sometimes we can't run away from what troubles us and we require help
to see us through.

I would be tempted to put aside the Nat mur and epilepsy because this
new state has now taken over and will probably require a new approach,
new rx for the time being. Another way of looking at this is that the
treatment so far has brought out this sensitivity. If the epilepsy has
now been cured then this is maybe a reasonable sign. All depends on how
you look at it.

Best wishes, Joy

New remedy is kind of what I've been feeling, tho she'd been making
such a lot of progress with the nat-m (she kept talking about all the
breakthroughs she was having, suddenly feeling compassion and curiosity
over past events that had previously filled her with grief and rage),
and it doesn't "feel" like this is finished yet. But indeed nat-m
doesn't seem to be pulling her thru the present situations...

I've repeatedly trolled for new clues, but nothing new is coming up.
I'll keep going thru it... Maybe an isode of the mold?
Thanks!

Perhaps my what if was a bit dramatic, but I wanted to make a strong point.
If you discover some one reacts badly to a situation to the degree that it
is making them ill, then it is only sensible to remove them from the
situation or remove the situation.

If someone is reacting to strawberries, I would not ask them to keep eating
strawberries while I am trying to find the right remedy for them. I would
stop them eating strawberries, then when I was sure that my remedy had made
a lot of difference I would ask them to try one or two to see how far we had
got.

To my mind, this is just simple logic.

The impact of financial matters and homelessness is another matter. But
then I would rather live in a tent than in a mouldy place that was making me
sick.

Soroush
