loose tooth

Post by Ann »

Hi board,

Coming back for a bit of advice needed. My 8 y/o has a every so
slightly loose adult tooth. Problem is that the top tooth came in
BEHIND the bottom tooth, so my guess is that the top tooth is pushing
it's way to the front and loosening the bottom tooth along the way.
Also the gum in the front of the tooth has receded a lot more than
what I saw, so it almost looks inevitable that the tooth might come
out.

Is this something that can only be fixed mechanically by a dentist
via something to keep the mouth open while the teeth adjusts or using
braces? I'm concerned as it's her permanent tooth and I don't see
another coming out to replace it as this is her permanent tooth. I
already know about putting the tooth in milk if it falls out but I
really wasn't expecting this to happen so soon and wanted her to be
much taller in the event of needing braces.

Thanks in advance.

Ann

I also forgot to say, is this a situation that can be helped w/
homeopathy (although I kind of think not)? And does anyone know of a
good dental message board so that I can research dental alternatives.

Sorry to be somewhat irrelevant from homeopathy.
