Zinc-phos info sought

Does any one have information on Zinc-phos?

This is why I am asking:
Only cataracts and slight lumbago are left in a case where everything else is gone. No one will get cataracts in a proving (also cancer and many other chronic diseases). I found many cases of cataracts healing. The remedies were of course constitutionally approached. There are rubrics for opacity of the lense, but none refer to the remedy that I am thinking of choosing. The clinical reports mention zinc. several times. Mangialavori presents a zinc-phos case that is similar to this case. He points out the similarity to naja cases. This case has been healed by naja over the last 10 months. I didn't know much about naja, but I am amazed how close the case it to Mangialavori's description of naja. He says that using a related remedy makes more sense than jumping off to for example phos or sulphur that would fit this case according to the calculations of rubrics. Phos is actually not a bad fit to her personality and Puls is also useful. Both are fits to her hayfever case, and we know that Puls works for the acutes of hayfever. The hayfever is probably not resolved, but we don't have the pollen now to check it out. Both Phos and Puls are strong in those clinical cases. I am inclined to follow Mangialavori's advice. Zinc-phos fits her in great detail. Was not able to find other cases or MM descriptions other than Mangialavori.

She has the inflammatory part of this when she has the hayfever. Would you say it belongs in the case even though it is only for spring pollen?

Interesting Dana was asking about an old article regarding cataracts,
yesterday. AB Norton used Sepia, Calc phos and Causticum in about 78%
of cases. Most of the info I have regarding Zinc phos is from Clarke
and cannot find anything regarding cataracts. When something is left in
a case (and you have to be sure that the simillimum so far cannot do
any more) you have what you could call a mini totality remaining and it
would be quite acceptable to home in on that and work with the sx that
just concern that area. This might be bordering on specific rx and
moving away from what you call constitutional prescribing, but you
would still need to examine any peculiarities within the mini totality
to help decide on the best rx. There are a great many more rx that
refer to cataracts than the few mentioned above.

It is quite a leap from Naja, Puls, Phos, Sulphur, Zinc phos and I
couldn't imagine prescribing any of the zincs if they didn't have that
typical 'movement' in the case, even though both Zinc and Phos,
seperately, have cataracts.

personally I would be studying all the relevant remedies and looking
for something particular in the case to help make the best choice.
Maybe the sx of the lumbago will aid you in this. Sorry not be able to

Dear Joy,

Thank you for your comments. I just found Kent saying Zinc-phos has cured cataracts also. Sholten and Mangialavori (probably Mang following Sholten) agree on the mind symptoms of zinc-phos: Overly sympathetic toward others to the extent that she disrupts her own life and very compulsive about intellectual studies. What she does as studies is never good enough. Needs someone to teach her everything although she is extremely capable. Brain fag. Paralyzed after sitting for a while so it hurts to stand up. She is bent over until she moves around for a while. What do you mean by zinc "movements"? She is naja like. Everything is about herself and her possessions. Concerned about people seeing her achievements. Naja also cannot do enough to satisfy her perfectionist standards. Works very hard but not intellectual. Takes on too much responsibility for other people. Following your advice, I will give her sulphur 200c and then see if we can get anything more out of the naja. Maybe some more symptoms will come out. Other snakes are used in cataract cases, but I don't see naja.

She has a scar on her belly button. It's from a surgery 4 years ago and it is still red and slightly inflamed looking. She had another surgery done to fix the inflammation, but it is still there. Does that have a rubric?

Mangialavori said something very interesting about the jealousy of snakes. They are not primarily jealous. They are primarily possessive. Because they are possessive, they become jealous. With a patient is as refined as this woman, it was difficult to see a snake. I chose naja mostly on the basis of the physicals. Afterwards when I read more about naja, I could see the snake.

It is hard to do these last prescriptions. People stay with me because I am so cheap. Then I feel really stuck because there is nothing to prescribe on. Thank-you for your comments on treating narrowly for these cases. I'm still trying to put three strong legs on this shrinking stool.

movements that the Zincs are well known for and that can be
restlessness; tremor; foot tapping; nervous twitchings; convulsions;
chorea; trembling; fidgeting; jerkings; eyes rolling; ovarian pain and
can't keep still; the modality of >>> motion, etc etc.

If I understand your use of the word constitution to mean the grander
or larger totality then such sx as brain fag; overly sympathetic;
compulsion about studying; paralysis after sitting; concern about her
achievements etc, then this means that there IS still a lot to the
case, a lot left and not just cataracts and lumbago. So what did the
Naja actually cure and if cured why can't it do more - is the question
I would be asking.

But if you are at a point now when Zinc phos seems to fit the larger
totality then you have to consider it.

I am aware of Mangiolavori's drug families but am struggling a bit with
Naja to Zinc phos. Maybe you can tell us more if you have time.

I would agree with the possessive qualities of many of the snakes = the
base for their jealousy, that is cause and effect. i think even more
profound is that in nature snakes abandon their young and thus you can
work backwards and say that the deepness of the abandonment is the
cause for the possession which is the cause for the jealousy.

Naja is tormented as much as any of the other snakes but has a lot of
sympathy qualities. Crotalus is considered the 'sociable' snake. Lots
of eye disorders with all of them but not totally sure which
specifically have cataracts off hand.

You'll find a whole load of 'scar' rubrics in the skin sections of the
reps.

By the way I didn't say anything about Sulphur 200c must have been
someone else sitting on that shrinking stool:-)

Dear Joy,
Sulphur 200c came up as just being one of those remedies that might shake up the case and get the Naja working. She is not a sulphur in any close sense.

Concerning the connection between Naja and Zinc-phos, its in the mentals. Focus on intellectual production, obsession to the point of brain fatigue. They get mentally tired easily. What they do is never enough. They would like to do this and that good cause, but its all about achievement and doing something for me. Criticism really hurts. Can't express anger. Master's described the Naja mythology concerning protection of her young, (her possessions). In the current case, the grown up daughter gets very angry because Naja is still trying to protect her "little girl" grand children... If you stay at her house, she will stop everything she is doing to make sure you are perfectly served. She's Japanese-American so excessive parental expectations is normal. Sharing the central characteristic with zinc-phos, nothing they do is enough. They are inadequate despite obvious public achievement. So at 60 years old, she needs to go to school and compete with 20 somethings to prove herself.

Her vision is getting dimmer but she tells me it is a natural aspect of aging and she will just get an operation. The idea is to ignore body part that has a problem. She gets it that homeopathy can do incredible things, but she has already decided that cataracts are natural and therefore to be ignored.

Look under zinc-phat for numerous listings. Also zinc-phic I don't see Kent there. I was hallucinating yesterday? Homeopathic Links has a discussion linking Lachesis and Zinc-phos. Also, cimmifuga. There are a bunch of abbreviations for it. I am not sure which is correct. Zinc-phos is old and apparently problematic as an abbreviation.

some time thinking about the combination of zincum and phosphorus -
quite a double act

I would offer that what you write about this case, from the emotional
sx, that quite a large number of rx could be considered (the milk
family, carcinosin, the natrum family to name but a few) and sometimes
when you get this profusion of suggestions on the emotional sphere
regarding rx it is always important to go back to the physicals and the
presenting complaint as these are usually more objective facts of the
case and this approach can make the case seem less daunting. I hope you
