I will ask and when permission is granted will post the notes. My case
was only 4 years standing so probably doesn't qualify.

Re: Puzzle(now diabetes)
4 year standing certainly does qualify if it is a long standing Type 1 IDD. Well done!!! It should be written up in the Medical journals or at least The Homeopath where you have had stuff published before.

Re: Puzzle(now diabetes)
The case is of 5 years standing. I am sure that you must have given that many different Rx (5 was it I mentioned?) in a case over that period of time. All have helped the patient but not cured her IDD which she has for 18 years but then I admit that this was the furthest thing from my mind.

I've only given that amount of rx when they've been the wrong ones, not
when the rx have they've helped or cured or whatever counts as a
success.

I never thought it would be of interest to anyone but the parents and
the child. I will pull out the notes and post when i can - I'm off to
catch a plane and chores are backing up, I should learn to say no

Re: Puzzle(now diabetes)
As I learned the term, zig-zagging simply means that you are proceeding
toward cure, but not by a direct, single-remedy approach. You might do
it if you *know* (or assume) you won't be able to cover the entire case
with a single remedy, or you might do it simply because your first
prescription *doesn't* wind up doing all that needs to be done.
One example was (?)Kent's(?) description of the discovery of lachesis
(I think it was), someone asked what he would have done before he
learned about that remedy, and he said you would "have to" begin with
apis, and probably then (I forget which other remedy), which would
eventually get you there, but not so smoothly or easily as lachesis.
I'm not sure who first used the word, but I think the concept is
straightforward. The word could apply to either a situation where you
*know* that only part of a case is being addressed initially, or to a
situation where you are prescribing on the "whole case" the best that
you can, but other remedy(s) is needed afterwards. Joy, what term(s)
would you use for those situations?

You can just take the conservative route, and say I don't know if we
can achieve an actual *cure*, but I do expect to be able to *help* you
a great deal, and perhaps help the diabetes to at least be less severe.
Then if you cure, well fabulous! But if not, then at least there are
no false hopes to deal with.
