Subject: Organ remedy for the gall bladder

I was looking in Ian Watson's book on methods of practicing
homeopathy [sic] in the section on organ remedies. Nothing
was listed for the gall bladder.
******************
Burnett, the king of organopathy, recommended especially Hydrastis Canadensis tincture for acutes (up to 10 drops in warm water). He also used other general liver remedies in low potency or tincture as indicated. The one of his that I have found especially useful is Cholesterinum. I have also used Gaertner to good effect. And don't forget China ..........the list could go on and on but these seem to come up repeatedly in gall bladder cases and I think could be labelled organ remedies. it is just a label, though.

I have used Fel Tauri - Ox Gall- a lot for this. The indication of "
Tendency to sleep after eating" is an excellent pointer in this and
other conditions.

(( Another candidate to be added to the above when gall bladder seems to be
all that is going on in a case is Fel tauri (ox gall). This would be an
"animal rx" (cf Sankaran kingdom analysis) -- for someone who comports like
a bull and has gall bladder problems and has stool leg(s) in the context of
the rx (which has proving):

In stone cases, gallstone potentized may be of service; just as Calcarea
renalis is in kidney stones. I have had one case of great benefit of that
latter remedy in a case of kidney stone severe pain--calc renalis 200
cleared the case of that problem for at least a few months of phone contact
and probably longer, as pt did not come back for further tx. It is another
one of the calcarea remedies that should not be overlooked in a calcarea
type with kidney stone problems. Calculi biliaris will of course be a
different type of stone resulting from a different type of energetic issue.

Best,
A
